Chapter twenty-one: decorating

I startled awake hearing the song 'Rise by Skillet' I groaned and went to roll over but fell off of the sofa 'forgot I slept their' I thought sitting up and rubbing my head "mornin'" I heard Jazz say over the music "g'mornin' Jazz" I replied I opened my eyes because I didn't bother before too see Jazz extending a hand to help me up. I took it and he pulled me up "thank ya, how are ya always awake before me?" I asked its true I have been curious for quite a while "I get up at six ta make sure everythin' is in order" he explained oh yeah I forgot he was second in command "oh yea I forgot ya was second in command" I admitted he chuckled slightly before saying "Prime's sayin that were gonna decorate the base" I smiled and he continued "were splitting up into teams Prime will explain and Sam, Mikaela, Lennox and eps are helpin' we hav'a meetin' in five" I nodded and got changed. We left the room arms linked, me forcing him to skip down the halls since we were both in bot form it was rather loud each skip echoed the halls we both started laughing singing in sync "were off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of oz...." By this point I am having issues controlling the giggles. I ended up tripping over my own feet but I was caught half way down "thanks *giggle*" "were's ma postcard" he questioned I laughed and countered "I sent it but ya know post services now'a days" I told him he laughed and tugged me back up. "Race ya too main hanger!" I said really fast then I used the wheels as skates and took off taking lead "HEY! NO FAIR" he shouted after me making me laugh as he picked up speed but he didn't have skates so it was a easy win. I skidded to a halt in the main hanger getting everyone's attention "ha ha I win" I declared smiling triumphantly "you cheated" he pouted "all is fair in love and war" I replied bowing "oh its on just wait darlyn" he stated smirking. Someone cleared their throat behind me making me turn I had completely forgot they were there, I waved shyly until Optimus spoke up "as you are aware of the Christmas season we shall be decorating base for this season Grace I am putting you in charge and Skye you are second in command. We shall be splitting up into teams 3 of you will stay back at base to tidy" "we volunteer" the triplets volunteered "okay, the rest of us will split into shopping teams myself, Shadow, Bumblebee are team one. Sam, Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are team two, Mikaela, Jetfire and Jetstorm are team 3, Jazz, Skye and Ratchet make up team 4. Ironhide, Grace and Jolt are team 5 . captain Lennox, Robert eps, skids and mudflap  are team 6" I smiled but didn't interrupt since the teams were brilliant. He stood up and continued "my team is in charge of getting the tree, team two are in charge of tree decorations, team three are in charge of food, team four are in charge of indoor decorations and music team five are in charge of outdoor decorations and lastly team six are in charge of lights and wrapping paper" I smiled, my two favriout jobs it just got better "yes Optimus prime sir" the Jettwins said in unison "Autobots transform and roll out" and theres his signature phrase. I switched to human form and jumped into Jazz since dad wasn't the biggest music fan "lets'a go" I told him and we sped out of base "we Rollin'" Jazz said as he played 'ridin' dirty by charmillionair' I laughed at his choice and sang along.

One long drive later #timeskip

We arrived at a large Christmas store the sight was abserloutly breath taking all the lights and decorations everywhere, I hopped out of Jazz's alt mode before he had stopped driving to get a better look at my surroundings "wow" I breathed taking it all in "SKYE! DONT DO ANYTHING THAT STUPID EVER AGAIN" I forgot dad was with us as he came running out of his alt mode. "Do what, what did I do" I asked innocently pretending I didn't know what he was talking about "you know exactly what you did, you could have got hurt! Do anything that stupid ever again I will ground you to the base for life" he nagged on "daaaad" I whined he just shook his head. I grabbed both holoform's hands and dragged them into the large, busy store "were gonna need tinsel and candles and rugs and christmassy smelly things and Christmas music and costumes for everyone and plants and mistletoe and ooh that's sparkly" I rambled on like a five year old dad and Jazz both sighed knowing what this was going to be like thus starting of a long shopping trip.

A long shopping trip later

Dad paid for everything with a government card thing, I got a little over excited and we got about 30 bags of stuff that we didn't need oh well we took 10 bags each and threw them all in the back of dads alt mode since he is a hummer and has allot of room. I jumped into the back of Jazz's alt mode and leaned the seat back to relax, Jazz turned back in his seat to look at me "comfortable?" He asked with a smirk playing at his lips, I nodded and replied "yup now let's get some music goin" he laughed and played one of the CD's we picked up 'mistletoe and wine by cliff richard' filled his cab with its warming Christmas tune it was truely enjoyable.

Time skip too base after unloading the stuff

We were last one's back to base, I walked over to where the others were "yo so wha' goin' on?" I asked as cheerful as ever "okay now to put these decorations up" Optimus explained I ran to the main hangers stereo and put in one of the CD's, I danced along to the beat as I was hanging tinsel off the ceiling. When we were at the store I picked up a mistletoe and a recorder so I put them both up in one of the door ways to mess with people later.

Time skip to finnishing up

We were just about done all we had to do was put the star on the top of the tree, me and Jolt were told we could light it all but Shadow and Grace were putting the star on top of the tree, the tree was the size of two Bots stacked it was beautifully covered with silver tinsel with red and blue decoration symbolising the Autobots and Decepticons. I smiled when the star was finally up it was perfect the base had everything from lights to candle's it even had that warm feeling you only get at this time of year. "Set it off" Optimus called for me and Jolt to set of the lights "three" Jolt started to count "two" I continued for him "one, go!" He called out we both stamped our right foot simultaneously sending off a double EMP the whole base was filled with music and colourful lights it was breath taking. Ironhide hugged Grace from behind whispering something even I couldn't hear so I made a gagging action then walked off to take in the sights of base it was amazingly beautiful. I got to my room walked in and sat on the sofa to start planning in my new diary sort of thing.

Step one: get a day truce with the Con's for optimus

Step two: invite them too a Christmas party for Jazz

Step three: get presents

Step four: tell Grace and Shadow of my plan

Step five:........

Jazz walked into the room so I slammed the book shut and stuffed it under a pillow "wha' ya doin'" he asked "nothin" I replied cooly "well, ya know theirs hot chocolate out there for ya" he didn't press on luckily "thank ya" I said then followed him out...
