CHAPTER THIRTEEN.

beware.

"DID YOU SEE the looks on their faces when i stepped forward?" draco said, bursting out in laughter once again. "yes, it was funny, but not as funny as your face when you tripped over your broom on the way back to the castle," theo said with a pokerface. thana gave him a high five and smirked as draco rolled his eyes.

"what's going on there?" blaise said, pointing at the students. none of them seemed to look happy and as soon as the four arrived they found out why. "'enemies of the heir beware,'you'll be next, mudbloods." draco glared at hermione. filch was screaming at harry for 'murdering his beloved cat who was more useful in this world than he would ever be' when thana aksed him if she could talk to him for a minute.

"when were you going to tell me that you wrote that shit on the wall with blood and killed that cat?" she hissed. "i didn't! why don't you believe me?" thana rolled her eyes. "nevermind." harry scoffed and turned away.

transfiguration wasn't thana's favorite subject, which was why she didn't pay attention and chose to have a conversation with blaise about what draco would come up with next and how much detention they would get for it instead. however, when hermione asked a certain question the two slytherins decided to stop their conversation and listen.

"well, very well. well, you all know, of course, that hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age: godric gryffindor , helga hufflepuff, rowena ravenclaw, and salazar slytherin. now, three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously. one did not."

ron coughed, "three guesses who." thana shot him a glare, "shut up weasel." harry scoffed, "if you want to impress malfoy fine but don't use my friends to do that." thana laughed, "i don't want to impress malfoy and if you have such a problem with me just say it to me." harry shook his head and professor mcgonagall continued.

"salazar slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to hogwarts. he believed magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. in other words, "pure-bloods." unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school. now, according to legend, slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle, known as the chamber of secrets. though, shortly before departing, he sealed it until that time when his own true heir returned to the school. the heir alone would be able to open the chamber and unleash the horror within, and by so doing purge the school of all those who, in slytherin's view, were unworthy to study magic."

hermione and thana said at the same time before giving eachother a glare. "well, naturally, the school had been searched many times. no such chamber has been found." the professor chose to ignore the girls. "professor ? what exactly does legend tell us lies within the chamber?"

"well, the chamber is said to home to something that only the heir of slytherin can control. it is said to be the home of a monster." a few people gasped. "now miss and mister potter, mister malfoy, mister weasley and miss granger come to me after class."

the five kids stared at their professor in silence. "care to explain why your stupid bickering seemed to be more important than my class?" she asked. "because, i didn't do anything wrong, i got placed into slytherin and that was apparently a good reason for them to call me a 'pathetic heartless slytherin'." thana shrugged. "why?" she asked the others. "since the day the got placed into slytherin she gave us glares and laughed along with malfoy. and on the day before school started they send us a howler." professor mcgonagall had given up, she thought this could be fixed in a minute and was now regretting her life choises. "just don't interrupt my class again." she sighed and opened the door for them.

"nervous?" theo asked draco, who was sitting on the bench in his uniform. "of course not, i'll show him how to play quidditch." draco answered but the panic was visible in his eyes. "we'll be over there." thana said, pointing at the slytherin stand and waved him goodbye, sending the boy a reassuring smile as they disappeared into the crowd.

"slytherin scored again! they lead gryffindor ninety to thirty!" lee jordan announced. blaise, theo and thana started cheering but stopped immediately as a bludger started chasing harry. even though they weren't on good terms right now, thana felt the anxiety rising as she watched her brother nearly getting hit. both him and draco started chasing something she couldn't see but assumed it was the snitch. the bludger hit wood and he fell down. draco pushed harry, as if being chased by a bludger wasn't enough already, before they both went out of sight.

they kept flying until suddenly draco flew across the field, without his broom. he landed and looked like he was going to puke, he coughed a few times and all the professors looked at him with a worried look, his father however just looked disappointed. harry kept going for the snitch but the bludger hit his arm. thana was busy making her way to the field but blaise stopped her, "just wait."

with just one hand harry reached out for the snitch and caught it, falling down too. "harry potter has caught the snitch! gryffindor wins!"

thana hurried to the field and kneeled beside draco. everybody else was worrying sbout harry and nobody seemed to care ahout what had happened to draco. he whined as she helped him up and her and blaise helped him to the hospital wing, where he got send away very quickly since madame pomfrey had to focus on harry. "i'll see you later," thana said and walked to her brother. "you okay?" dhe asked, trying not to show she cared.

"could be better, why do you care." he groaned. "okay we don't have to be friends, but can we please stop acting like five year olds and just ignore eachother?" his look softened. "what about your little boyfriend?"

"if you mean malfoy, he's not my boyfriend. and i can't promise he won't do anything. but you're my twin brother harry, let's just act normal towards eachother and accept that you hate my friends and i hate yours." harry nodded and thana hugged him goodbye. "sorry." they both said at the same time.

thana was relieved, he was her brother, and she was happy to have him back. knowing that they would become closer again she made her way to the slytherin common room where her friends were waiting for her.
