CHAPTER FOUR.

flying.

THANA WAS WEARING her slytherin uniform and was standing next to her brother. to the others, this looked weird. the boy with the glasses in gryffindor while his sister looked like the typical slytherin. they were all standing beside their brooms and greeted the teacher. "welcome to your first flying class, what are you waiting for? everyone to the left side of your broom."

"right hand over the broom and say: 'up'" thana did as she was told and was now holding her broom, proudly looking around to see if draco had managed to get his up too. harry had succeeded first and draco was third. hermione gave the three an irritated look. "with feeling," the teacher said. "up!" ron said right before getting hit in his face by his broom. thana, who was standing next to the boy, laughed. "shut up, potters." this made the siblings laugh even harder.

she enjoyed this moment, before going to hogwarts she had been a bit nervous and had never had many friends. now she had some friends in gryffindor and even though ron told her not to hang out with draco it seemed like he wanted to be her friend too. or at least his friends could be, she needed to give draco a hard time first. just to make sure he wasn't all that ron had told her.

the boy, neville, who had lost his toad earlier that week, flew around. he fell down and the teacher hurried to get to him to take him to the hospital wing, she warned the others about the consequences if she'd see someone fly and left. thana wasn't even sure if she could fly without the professor there but draco clearly had other plans.

"did you see his face?" draco said, holding the remembrall neville had dropped during his flight. "if the fat lump had given this a squeeze he would remember to fall on his fat arse." harry took a step forward and thana sighed. "give it here, malfoy."

this took thana by surprise, back in the muggleworld harry never stood up for himself.

"no, i think i'll leave it somewhere for longbottom to find. how about on the roof?" draco said while getting on his broom, flying like it was nothing. "what's the matter potter? bit beyond you reach?" harry groaned and got on his broom too, ignoring hermione warning him. "is this the moment where i have to be the good sister and make sure he doesn't die?" thana asked as she followed the two boys into the air. "give it here malfoy, or i'll knock you off your broom!"

"is that so?" draco said, looking from harry to thana. "have it your way then," he threw the ball away and harry didn't hesitate to follow it. "if he gets expelled it's on you." thana hissed at draco before landing.

she sat down next to the blonde boy in the slytherin common room. "enjoying the life in your brothers shadow?" pansy, who was sitting on the other side of draco, asked. "it's ridiculous! he should've been expelled, or at least in detention." draco complained.

"i'm gonna study in the library, see you guys later." thana said before leaving the room. "draco is just jealous," blaise, who followed her, said. "i know, but he's still my brother and it feels wrong to hang out with draco when he says those things." thana shrugged. the two had arrived at the library and took place at the table. they studied for a while and decided to get back, they were both tired.

"did he actually complain about only getting 36 presents?" blaise asked the brown-haired girl, who nodded. "that sounds horrible, i would've turned him into a present if i knew how." the two kids laughed as they entered the room, making draco look up. "don't drool on her blaise," the malfoy boy said as he rolled his eyes. thana laughed even harder and said goodbye to the boys as she went into the girls room.

the next day, professor quirrell ran in, "a troll! there's a troll in the dungeons!" everybody turned to look at him before he fainted and everybody started screaming. "silence!" now that was amazing, thana had only been here for a while now and there was already a troll on the loose. she wondered if these type of things were going to be daily occurrences and if there was a way to prepare herself if they were, she wasn't ready to deal with trolls and dragons on a daily basis.

nevertheless thana kept her cool and took her time until she saw her brother and ron run the opposite way of where they were supposed to go. "god damn it," she said before following them, her protective twin instinct kicking in once again. once she reached them she saw hermione screaming on the ground and the two boys attacking the troll. thana took out her wand and harry jumped on its neck and put his wand in its nose, "do something!" thana panicked, not knowing any spells yet but ron saved him and they were all looking at the passed out troll. she looked at it with a scrunched nose and pulled up lip. she really hoped this wasn't a regular thing here, if it was she might have to reconsider her options. although dudley shared some traits with the troll, he was somewhat less terrifying.

"damn that was exhausting! good work boys, next time don't go to visit a bigass troll." thana said before leaving the room. "where were you? why are you covered in dust?" draco and blaise asked when she walked into the slytherin room. "my brother decided it would be a good idea to chase that troll." she grumped, then leaving to get some sleep.
