thana smiled at the blonde boy who had his head rested on her lap. "what are you looking at?" he asked once he noticed her staring. "you." draco playfully rolled his eyes and pointed at her book, "you have to study, remember?" she nodded and focused on the book she was holding, "colloportus" she spoke as she pointed her wand at the door, nodding proudly when the door locked. "aberto" the door swung open, a bit more agressive than she wanted it too but the door was open so she decided that was good enough. "what are you even studying for?" draco asked, slowly lifting himself off of her lap.  "charms, i have a test soon. plus i have the whole tri wizarding tournament going on, the more charms and spells i know the better right?" draco chuckled and pulled her in, "promise you'll be safe?" not giving her any time to answer, he pressed his lips on hers. "promise." she said once their lips had disconnected again. "i love-"

thana suddenly woke up. she looked around with a confused look on her face, noticing the book on her chest and wand in her hand. "it was just a dream." she said, not sure how to feel about this. she didn't realize she was talking out loud and apologized when draco, who was laying next to her, woke up. "we must've been studying and fallen asleep." she shrugged and he copied her. "okay so uhm lets get going huh? big day today." thana nodded and let out a small chuckle. big day. she was going to fight a dragon today and she wasn't as scared as she thought she would be. knowing the dark lord is her father and has her back, hopefully, thana had felt safe.

it took thana some time to get into her uniform but once she did she smiled at her reflection in the small mirror. the green made her eyes look cool and her hair was up in a high ponytail. "you look stupid." she turned around and smiled at theo. "are you nervous?" he asked as he gave her a quick hug, ignoring rita. "i just have a feeling i'll be okay. does that make sense?" theo nodded slowly, "don't die thana. i love you too much for that." the brunette rolled her eyes playfully and gave him another hug, "i won't nott, i promise." her best friend left and not soon after he did so blaise entered the tent. "i'm sorry. and i just wanted to talk about what happened, you know in case you die."

thana chuckled, "don't worry about it. we've been best friends for so long, i think we kinda both knew that was how we're supposed to be. best friends." blaise nodded and hugged her. "good luck." she nodded and watched him leave.

she wasn't alone for long though, not long after blaise left draco walked in. "are you okay? did he do or say anything? who does he think he is? just walking in here and distracting yo-" thana stopped him by chuckling, "it's fine draco. we talked about it." the blonde nodded slowly, "well uhm, good luck?" he gave her an awkward hug but thana didn't care. she rested her head on his shoulder and let go off all the stress she had been holding in that she wasn't even aware of. "you'll be okay. it's gonna be okay." draco said to her, slowly pulling her closer. "i care about you." he whispered, his voice was barely above a whisper but thana heard him. rita, who had been taking pictures of thana and all her friends all this time, didn't hear him. "i care about you too draco." she whispered back, meaning every single word she said. and he heard it. and i heard it too. the voice scared thana so much that the girl immediately pulled back. don't worry my child, you have nothing to fear. your... creature already adores you.

"thana? you alright?" draco asked, giving her a worried look before getting send away by the professors. "good luck." he mouthed. thana was so confused by what the voice in her head had said that she hadn't even heard what the others said until they held a bag infront of her. "pull one out." she did as she was told and gasped softly when she saw the mini basilisk on her hand. "your creature already adores you." she thought, remembering her fathers words.
