"Welcome to The Carrie Woodlawn Show! I'm Carrie Woodlawn, it's Monday, December 8, 2025, this is ICT's Afternoon Chat Channel, and I want to introduce someone today whom you already know, but I bet you've never seen her! She's 'The New Little Princess' with 'The Army of the Princess' and she's going to do her new song, 'Stuck In De Mud', right now. Let's give her a hand!"

[Audience applauds]

A large tipper, full of wet mud, appears and slowly dumps its cargo all over the stage. The audience gasp.

We hear military percussion over the studio sound system. The Princess, in a short-sleeved white blouse and short blue skirt, with a red beret, barefoot, carrying an AK-103 loosely over her right shoulder, hand on its butt, stamps through the mud, giggling. Her band, right behind her, shod but in similar clothing, march far better, but step hesistantly, pulling faces.

The Princess sits down at her "Mighty Synth". Her music sounds like fireworks. Johnny 'All-About-The' Cortez, usually her band's bass player,  blows Brazilian carioca music on his bugle.

The lights go off in the studio. The audience gasp. Coloured lights flash from everywhere.

The Princess shouts: "Hey, wai' a minute! That's off!"

"Hey, Pom-Pom, give us a beat," the Princess says.

Hector 'Pom-Pom' Cortez, the band's percussionist, starts up his percussion machine with a moderate, steady beat, walking not marching, reggae style.

The lights return.

All-About-The's bass guitar replaces his bugle.

Then all play and sing.

Chorus:

Stuck in de mud

But we keep on marchin' on, yeah

Stuck in de mud

One step at a time

One step at a time yeah, yeah

Guts and blood

Are our only road markin's, yeah

We gonna keep on marchin' on

One step at a time

One step at a time

The Princess sings by herself with the band's music:

(2 times) Gonna win dis revolution

One step at a time

One step at a time

Yah!

And at de time we cannot take a step

We're gonna wait for a better time, yeah!

We're always waitin' for de right time, yeah!

[Musical Interlude]

[The Princess resumes singing with the music.]
