Crystal was sitting at her desk looking out her window, pondering what had happened a few days before. The room, the cloaked figures, she remembered it all, and yet she couldn't remember anything before that, just waking up in the room with three others and cloaked figures doing weird voodoo or what ever it was they were doing.
But how she didn't remeber before the magic flash back, as she was calling it, she had no clue, just everything after, being found all alone in the streets by the school. No recolection of how she got there.
Then there was Yuvraj, she wanted to ask him more about what they had seen, if he knew anything, but she couldn't find the courage to go talk to him. From what her family told her, he had drove her home explaining she had a panic attack on the way out from the restaurant and passed out as he calmed her down.
She was glad that he didn't tell them about the crystal ball or anything, her family would've probably freaked finding out what caused the panic attack.
As she puzzled over what to do, a small tapping noise caught her attention. Opening her door, there wasn't anyone there, when it happened again, from the left of the door. Turning towards the antique chest from her grandparents.
At first she thought she was imagining things, but just to be sure, she walked over steadily, and gave a light tap on the surface. "Hello?"
"Crystal, it's Yuvraj."
Throwing open the lid, he crawled out from the small space, "I need to tinker with the Vanish box a little apparently."
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, I figured that you would like to know more about what we saw in the crystal ball."
"Yes, but is now a good time, and place, my siblings are home."
"I can cast a field of silence, letting no sound out of the room."
"They occasionally walk in without warning."
"Pray for the best, so what are your questions about it."
"Okay, who were the other four kids?"
"Right, so to begin, the first one they brought in, they committed a taboo spell on the child, that split the child into four different versions of the original, and you are one of them, so in a way you are a quadruplet."
"...What?"
"You, and the three others used to be the one child, separated into the you and the three others, simple enough?"
"...Yes, but it's still a lot to take in."
"Despite being so simple, so I wanted to ask, have you ever felt over whelming feelings or intruding thoughts, even though there wasn't anything making you think or feel those things?"
"No...Actually yes, that causes most of my panic attacks."
"That means you are connected to the other three, and them to you."
"Really?"
"Yep, and, well, would you be interested in finding them?"
"Well, kind of, I don't know, this is going really fast."
"Right, do you need a moment to think?"
"Yes." slumping back in her chair, she pondered, and wondered, should she, how would she, and were to begin, she didn't even know were to start looking. Before she even considered how it would even be possible, the door opened, making her jump.
