A few days later Sophie was sitting at the crew's normal hangout sipping some coffee, Spencer came over to her table "Hey Sophie." he said "Oh, hi, Spencer." she said "You waiting for someone?" he asked, Sophie saw the hope in his eyes "It's not Jordan, but if this conversation goes the way I think it will he'll be my next stop." she said, just then the door of the café opened and in walked Leo and Carmen, they saw Sophie and headed straight to her, "Hi Sophie. Spencer." Carmen said "Hey what are you guys doing here?" Spencer asked, Leo looked at Sophie "I called them here." she said "Oh really?" Spencer said "Yeah. I wanted to talk to them." Sophie said "Oh okay, well I'll leave you too it." he said "Thanks." Sophie said, Spencer nodded, "If you need anything just let me know." Spencer said to the three of them but looked at Sophie, trying to get the double meaning across to her, she understood and nodded "Thanks Spence." she said and he walked away. Leo and Carmen sat across from Sophie "So the reason that I asked you guys here was so that we could talk and I could get some answers." she said, they both nodded "Ask us anything mija." Carmen said "According to the social worker, having a open adoption is when both sets of parents are okay to let the child decide to meet his or her biological parents, apparently you guys said open adoption is fine, my parents were fine with it too. So why is it that when I wanted to meet you guys I never heard back?" she asked "Well, we were scared." Carmen said "Scared?" she repeated "Yes. We regretted putting you up for adoption the next day but we couldn't do anything about it anymore. You parents, James and Evelyn fell in love with you the minute they laid their eyes on you and you were theirs. We had planned to go and meet you the first time you reached out but we were scared, I was scared that it would be too painful for me to see you calling someone else mommy." Carmen said tears in her eyes. "So at the last minute we cancelled, when your parents told us you wanted to meet us we were going to but Carmen just couldn't do it so at the last minute we cancelled." Leo said "And my quinces?" she asked "We just though that it was too late for you to get to know us. You had a life, you had friends and a family that loved you and we felt that we jus wouldn't fit in your life." Leo said, "But don't you think it should have been my decision if you guys fit in my life or not?" she said, they didn't say anything, they knew she was right. "You know because of all of this I ruined the best relationship that I have ever had in my life. I got mad at the one person that has always been there for me over two people who were never there for me." Sophie said "That's not fair." Leo said "I know, but it wasn't fair either to bring my hopes up on meeting you years ago and then crushing my heart when you didn't show up." Sophie said, then she took something out of her bag, it was a scrapbook, "I had wanted to give you guys this if I had met you when I was five. And I had it with me on the day of my quince too to give to you just in case. It's a scrapbook that I had made, so you guys could read about my life. I put a lot of detail into it so you guys could feel like you were there." she said, Carmen took it and opened it to the first page that read 'My life so far, by Sophie Morgan'  with a picture of her and Olivia and Leila from kindergarten, Sophie got up " I don't know if it's too late for us to form a relationship or if I want to see you guys again, but if I do?" she asked, they looked at her "We'd love to see you again." Leo said, she nodded "See you guys around." she said as she headed out the door, her next stop. Jordan.

Jordan was at home he was doing better, he had been hanging out with Simone a lot more, "So how's the baby?" Jordan asked "Good." she said "Hey Simone." Olivia said "Hey." she said, just then someone rang the doorbell "It's probably Asher, were gonna hang out here if that's cool." Olivia said "No problem, me and Simone were gonna head out anyways." Jordan said, Olivia nodded and headed to the front door to open it, her smile fell and turned to a look of shock because standing in front of her was Sophie. Sophie gave her a sheepish smile "Hey Liv is Jordan home?" she asked, just then Jordan came around the corner followed by Simone, Olivia turned to face her brother and Sophie looked at the two of them, standing in front of her "Sophie." Jordan said surprised, she looked from him to Simone to Liv, back to Jordan, who was holding hands with Simone, to Sophie her mind went straight to the conclusion that they were dating, but in reality, that was totally out of context, Jordan was just helping Simone walk because she had felt a little dizzy. "Oh um, sorry I shouldn't have come." Sophie said as she turned back around and headed to her car, "Go!" Simone and Olivia said at the same time, Jordan ran out of the house and followed Sophie to her car "Sophie wait, it's not what it looks like please, just let me explain." he said but it was too late she had already started driving off. He sighed as he watched the girl of his dreams disappear from his line of sight.

As Sophie was driving she was crying, it was all her fault, she though, she had waited to long and now Jordan had moved on, he had moved on quickly too, while he was out with Simone she was in her room crying and eating ice cream while watching rom-coms. She had never felt more alone then she did in that moment, knowing that the boy of her dreams had moved on...without her.
