Chapter Fifteen, Strange
_________________________(A/N. I don't have these two episodes about the flesh, therefore the timeline and contents may be terribly incorrect. I'm trying my best by reading the plot and watching reaction videos. )
Ophelia had been completely gone, unable to respond, unwilling to respond. The Doctor had been worried at first but then he saw the look on River's face. She looked, impressed, almost excited. She refused to tell them about it. But she was after all from the girl's future.
She had said things like "already?" "Is it already time for this?" The woman knew things that the rest of them had no idea of. Her eyes had been extremely pale, almost white, but it still wasn't a moment of concern for her.
They had left her in the TARDIS, not that she seemed to want to go with them, but her body was weak. The alien girl just sat on the floor, no emotion showing whatsoever. And Rory had noticed something strange in her eyes. He was too focused on Amy to speak of it, but he still saw it. It was like.. it was like scenes were flashing in her eyes. Pages, episodes, whatever you'd call it. A slight shadow flipping through the pale canvas.
They had managed to save Amy from the silence and broadcast the order of the execution on television. For centuries, their empire would break down piece for piece, they would have given the order of their own death.
Rory and her had found themselves kissing, the former finally finding out who she had been talking about through the device.
The Doctor had been dropping off River at the prison again, and they found themselves in a much needed conversation.
"You could come with us."
"I escape often enough, thank you." River sassed back, her arms crossed as she watched the man before her. "Besides, I have a promise to live up to. Multiple, actually."
"Yeah, like what?"
"Kiss her." River's words were blunt, her hand on his chest as he gave him a friendly pat.
"I'm sorry, what?" Even the Doctor got flushed by such words.
"You'll understand soon enough."
He barely wasted any time before he made his way back into the TARDIS, being met by a sight he almost didn't expect. Not only was Ophelia standing on her feet, she was chatting normally with the other two in there. Rory shot the surprised Doctor a quick glare, as if to warn him to be careful.
"Ophelia.." the man rushed up to the girl, embracing her tightly. She gave a quick laugh and pushed him away.
"What's up with you?"
She couldn't remember what had happened.
"I- no, nothing. Sorry. Just glad to see you."
Her dark blue eyes were deep, and he almost found himself drowning in the sight that he had missed so dearly for the past few hours. River's words echoed in his mind but, he couldn't bring himself to do it. What it that would.. trigger, whatever it was that happened before? Especially with how excited River had been about it.
And then, in the middle of it all, her body collapsed against him. She barely had a pulse. A frightened scream left Amy as she rushed over to the girl who laid completely motionless, her chest barely moving with her breaths.
