Cara and Reggie had been outside all day, playing quidditch against each other, and Cara was winning. Sirius had been watching the pair with jealousy, he saw the way Cara's crystal eyes lit up when she was laughing or when she scored a goal. Cara was incredible at quidditch, she was an amazing seeker, but she had never been allowed to join the quidditch team because of her parent misogynistic views on the world.

"Cara! Why don't you just join the quidditch team already?" Reggie asked as he threw his hands up in fake frustration. Sirius, for once, agreed with Reggie.

"He's not wrong Cara." Sirius said, grabbing Cara and Reggie's attention simultaneously. Reggie looked at his brother with a scowl on his face, Cara looked at Sirius with a bright smile.

"Regulus, Mum was calling you, she said its time for your violin lesson." Sirius said, Reggie bid Cara goodbye for now before disappearing into the dark house.

"You, Cara White, really are a complete mystery, aren't you?" Sirius asked as Cara dismounted her broom.

"I can be, but not to everyone." She said she she brushed over her clothes.

"Do you happen to know how long Reggie's violin lesson's last?" Cara asked as she wondered when she would be able to giggle with her best friend once more.

"I believe about 2- 3 hours." Sirius said, he saw Cara's expression fall, before it rose again.

"Do you happen to know where there is a forest around here?" Cara asked, Sirius quirked his eyebrows as his grey orbs prayed into her blue ones, but nodded.

"Meet me here again in 10 minutes, okay?" Cara asked, Sirius smiled and nodded before he saw Cara take off a run into the manor.

Sirius was standing at the exact same spot ten minutes later, as he saw Cara walk out of the manor in a long sleeved purple sweater, black skinny jeans, and the necklace Regulus gave her in 3rd year. Sirius thought she looked beautiful even now, but he looked and noticed in her left hand she held a bow and arrow, and in her right hand a crossbow.

"Are you planning on shooting me?" Sirius mocked, she laughed and shook her head, before chucking the crossbow at him.

"What are you planning, White?" Sirius asked again, Cara didn't answer.

"Now, where is that forest around here?" Cara asked with a smile that made Sirius' heart melt. Sirius grabbed Cara's hand before running in the direction of the forest.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cara and Sirius stood in a forest, with their crossbow, and bow and arrow in hand.

"What are you planning, White?" Sirius asked again, trying to get an answer.

"When I am at home and I need to get away, I practice archery. My father always refused to allow me to get a target, so instead I practice on this like pinecones, or acorns if I'm really trying." Cara said as her eyes scanned the trees. Sirius let out a small 'wow', was it just him or was this girl perfect for him?

"Well, come on then White, show me what you got." Sirius said, Cara nodded and stepped forward. She pulled the bottom of the arrow to her mouth, her eyes trained on a pinecone that was about 15 feet away from the pair, she took a deep breath before releasing the arrow. The arrow head speared through the middle of the pinecone, causing Sirius' mouth to drop open. Cara turned to a surprised Sirius, she laughed.

"I need a lot of time away." Cara said, Sirius smiled. Cara had always been closed off with just about every one, but she was getting closer and closer to Sirius. She didn't know why she gravitated to Sirius. Regulus had always had a small crush on Cara, but she could never see him that light, not without a love potion at least.

"You turn, Black." Cara challenged, Sirius smirked and held up the crossbow and shooting, hitting absolutely nothing.

"Here." Cara adjusted Sirius' position, Sirius looked at her with complete admiration.

"Sirius you better stop looking at me that that, or your brother might kill you." Cara humorously warned, but deep down she believed he would.

"I can't look at you any other way." Sirius stated. Cara believed he was just flirting, not that he actually felt emotions for her, He was Sirius Black, why would he go after Cara White and not Rosie?

"Shut up! Look at your target." Cara said, Sirius eyes zapped over to his much larger target of a tree trunk. She whispered to him.

"Focus, imagine the arrow hitting the center, train your eyes on the target." Cara whispered her lips brushing against him.

"And... shoot." Cara whispered again, Sirius shot the cross bow and hit the center of the trunk. Sirius smiled, he turned to a beaming Cara.

"You're a pretty good shot, Black." Cara said with a smile, and she wasn't being sarcastic he was actually a pretty good shot, not as a good as she was, but he did have potential.

"Well I have a great teacher." Sirius said, his eyes were still glued on Cara. Her eyes met his, she smiled, he looked in her eyes and couldn't find a trace of distrust, dissatisfaction, or hatred for him.

"Why did our friendship end?" Sirius asked, he knew she knew why. He knew that something happened to pull her away from him.

"You called me a pureblood supremesist, after you said I would never be able to fully except who you are, we never talked after that." Cara said as her blue orbs filled with tears. Sirius soon remembered the fight with Cara, Cara was just becoming friends Reggie, and Sirius thought she would end up just like them.

"I'm so, so, so, so, sorry" Sirius said before embracing Cara. In all fairness she had just watched as a muggle born get bullied, and didn't know what to do.

"Don't be, it taught me that sometimes you have to adapt to your surrounds, and that sometimes you lose people." Cara said, before Sirius grabbed her by the waist.

"But thats just it Cara, I never stopped caring about you." Sirius said with a smile, Sirius had to resist the overwhelming temptation to kiss her, so instead he just pulled her into a tight hug.

"I never stopped caring about you either" Cara responded with a bright smile.
