Black and White {Sirius Black} {1}

Chapter Ten

Today was the pureblood banquet, Cara's dress was a silver, white, and blue , it was cute and she had used a spell to cover up all of the bruises on her forearms and face.  Rosie had been squealing about the banquet, Cara however, wasn't as thrilled, she remembered her deal with Sirius, and after a few days ago she was afraid. Her makeup was beautiful, bubblegum pink lipgloss to match her dress, her hair was in a half up - half down, even she had to admit she looked nice.

"Cara, you look incredible." Rosie said as she looked at her sister descending the staircase, Caroline and Stephan stood next to each other with stamps of approval on their faces.

"So do you sis." Cara said, Rosie was wearing a dark blue dress, with a sweetheart neckline and a  silver lace trim. Rosie's was absolutely radiant. 

"Well, children prepare, our guests will be arriving shortly." Stephan said with his wife standing behind him. All awaited, and soon all of the Pureblood families came pouring in, Cara looked up for a moment to catch the familiar face of James Potter.

"Hey, Potter. How've you been?" James smiled, they had been closer than before, plus he was the only person she semi- tolerated at this event.

"Fine, White what about you?" He asked, he knew about his friends adoration for the young girl which only made him more inclined to be friends with her.

"I've been in a confined house hold, with my parents without any source to he outside world." Cara responded with a quirked eyebrow, he laughed.

"So amazingly well?" James question sarcastically. The two laughed in unison, before a voice called Cara's name.

"Cara!" She turned around to meet the eyes of her best friend, Regulus Black.

"Reggie!" She exclaimed excitedly before jumping into a hug with her bestie.

"I missed you so much!" Reggie said with his faced enclosed in Cara's brown hair.

"Calm down you two. It has only been 3 days." Walburga scolded the two rowdy children, but she still smiled happy the pair was getting along.

"What about me, Love?" Sirius asked when his brother released Cara from his grasp. Cara turned giving Sirius the chance to take in her radiance. He smiled he noticed how a single strand of hair fell in front of her crystal blue eyes. Cara scanned him as well, his hair was no longer unruly, it was combed down, and he was in a attire that looked like one of a prince, but Cara would never give him the benefit of knowing that.

"I missed you, but not as much." Cara responded with a smirk, Sirius clutched his heart in false pain before pulling a surprised Cara into a hug.  

"Are you still going to carry out our deal?" Sirius whispered into her ear as they hugged. Cara pulled away and looked up to him, but nodded nonetheless.

"But one slight change." Cara said as she looked up at him, Sirius' eyebrows furrowed, he soon felt her lips on his, and fireworks went of in both of her stomachs. Walburga, and Stephan looked over in unison, as did most people, a slight gasp ran through the whole crowd. James was beaming at the pair, his best friend had gotten the love of his life to kiss him, now the next step was to fall in love with him as well. When Cara pulled away even Sirius looked stunned as did the rest of the room.

"Deal complete." Cara whispered before walking over to Reggie, who already knew about the deal. 

"Well, you no longer owe him anything, but I have a feeling that you kissing him only increased your feelings for him." Reggie said with a pitiful look on his face. Cara had made the great mistake of fancying the teen heartthrob of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Yeah, but  I'll get over him." Cara said, she looked over her shoulder and Sirius was already talking to Marlene McKinnon whom, surprisingly, had shown up.

"I'm sorry Cara, I hope that he'll realize how amazing you are one day. Because you,Cara Katerina White, are one of the most incredible, funny, smart, beautiful, and thrilling person in the entire world." Reggie said as he hugged Cara once more. Reggie's crush on Cara had completely disappeared, and it wasn't coming back, especially because of Cara's admiration towards his brother.

The dinner had commenced the adult chattering about the possible arranged marriages between their perfect pureblood children. Reggie and Cara kept talking to each other, Sirius was on the other side of Cara, James had left early, he became fed up with the intense  supremacy. but on the other side of Sirius sat Marlene McKinnon, a girl Cara would never be able to compete with.

"Cara, you're staring." Reggie said pulling Cara out of her jealous glare. Marlene was perfect in almost every aspect, she had a beautiful light blonde hair, sapphire blue eyes, and freckles that dusted her face with a bright smile, and she flirted like no on was watching. Stephan stood up and clinked his fork to his glass.

"I would like to make a toast to my family.  I would like to say how thankful I am to have my beautiful wife, Caroline, the absolute light of my life. I would also like to say how I am so proud of my daughter, Cara, she will follow in our footsteps starting with being sorted into Slytherin, and become a minister for the Ministry of Magic."  Stephan toasted, Cara rolled her eyes, but he nevertheless still had everyone drink to his toast. Cara felt a hand slip into hers, she assumed it would be Reggie, but to her surprise it was Sirius who was holding her hand.

"You're okay." Sirius whispered to her.

When the Banquet was over and people were bidding goodbye to the hosts, Sirius eyes were glued on Cara. Sirius walked over to Cara with bright smile.

"Be my girlfriend." Sirius stated, pulling Cara out of her conversation with Regulus.

"No." Cara said, he was wondering why she had said no.

"And why not Ms. White?" Sirius said, he was disappointed, she however, thought she was another one of Sirius Black's girls.

"Because I'm one of a kind, and unique, not like them."  Cara said, Sirius quickly understood that she meant the other girls he had dated in the past.

"I know that, Cara." Sirius responded, and thats when Cara got an idea.

"The next hogsmeade trip is in 1 month, if you  go out with, snog, or do anything else with another girl, consider your chances with me gone. But if you can do that, then we can go on a date and see were it goes, deal?" Cara said putting her hand out with a smile.

"You, Cara White, have a deal. But you do have to admit it was an incredible kiss." Sirius said looking at Cara with a smile, and now that Sirius had a chance with Cara, he was going to fight for Cara.

Sirius Orion Black was going to get a chance with Cara Katerina White.
