Today was the first day back to Hogwarts, Cara's trunk had been packed, as was Rosie's. Fortunately Cara's parents weren't able to escort Cara and Rosie to the train station, but in someways that was a good thing. Rosie barged into Cara's room with a bright smile.

"I never got to ask how it was spending Christmas at the Blacks house." Rosie said, Cara smile brightly.

"It was great! I got to spend a lot of time with Reggie, and I talked to Sirius a bit which was fun as well." Cara said as she played with her locket, Rosie looked at what her sister was playing with before she saw how Cara's eye lit up.

"Did Regulus give you that?" Rosie asked nicely, but with a moment of a sinister tone.

"Um, N-no actually, Sirius d-did" Cara stuttered out, Cara also blushed a deep red. Two things that Rosie, sadly, had noticed.

"So, what is going on with you and Sirius?" Rosie asked with a hidden smirk on her face.

"Nothing, we're just friends thats all." Rosie quirked at her eyebrows at her sister not believing a word coming out of Cara's mouth.

"Okay fine, I'll pretend to believe you." Rosie said, Rosie quickly apparated the pair  to the train station, Lily called Rosie over the second they arrived, they had all gotten there early, and Cara stood there, Reggie had sent her an owl saying that he was sick and couldn't attend today.

Sirius and James walked side by side in the train station, as Remus joined them Cara caught James eye. James pointed her out to Sirius, and his eyes lit up more than any of the Marauders had ever seen before. Marlene watched as the Marauders point to Cara, and she got jealous, she still liked Sirius, but he never looked at her like that. Cara had put her headphones in, she was oblivious to the attention being put on her. Sirius yelled out her name pulling her from her music, she turned and he was running towards her, she smiled and hugged him.

"Hey White! Been a while!" James exclaimed, and hugged her as well, everyone in the train station (including Rosie) were wondering when and how the Marauders and Cara White had become friends.

"Right back at ya Potter." Cara's smile was wide and genuine. Many people stopped to stare at the uncommon friendship between the boys and girl.

"Hey Remus, how've ya been?" Cara asked with a bright smile, though she hadn't become as close to Remus and Peter as she had become to Sirius and James, but she respected them never the less.

"Good, I did appreciate the book recommendations." Cara smiled and nodded, her and Remus had an oddly similar taste in books.

"Hey, Peter." Cara said unenthusiastically, she had seen him at a death eater meeting with her father, and she knew to watch out for when he will eventually betray them. Sirius glanced over to Cara and noticed she was wearing the locket, he also had the snitch she gave him in his pocket.

"The locket looks good on you White." Sirius said hugging her once more, before Marlene, and Lily,  approached the group. Rosie had gone off to talk to Alice, her other best friend.

"Hey, white, you are looking well." Marlene said snippily, trying not to snap at the girl. Lily smiled at Cara, she was still thankful about what happened with the Slytherins.

"I didn't know you guys and White here were friends." Everyone could tell that Marlene was trying to be mean, and Cara just wasn't in the mood, she was done letting people walk over her.

"McKinnon, just bug off. If I wanted to be insulted by a people I don't care about I would talk to Sirius' parents again." Everyone eyes widened, Cara was usually more composed, but it was different with Marlene it was more out of jealousy than a power move. Marlene noticed Cara's new locket and smirked before snapping it off her neck.
