Once the plan for the night had been established, the Cullens began to split off into their separate groups.
This was when Charlotte realised that she was the odd one out, as everyone else had a partner, a lover. However, she then remembered that she was sort of promised to a werewolf, which brought back all her worries regarding that issue.
Since Esme had told her that Rosalie was the best when it came to girl problems, Charlotte decided to talk to the beautiful blonde, once the family meeting was over.
At first first Rosalie's outstanding beauty had intimidated Charlotte, but after the girl stood up for her in front of Carlisle, Charlotte felt brave enough to approach Rosalie.

"Thanks, for sticking up for me earlier" Charlotte said quietly, once her and Rosalie were alone.
"You're welcome. I just felt like you deserved a chance to get revenge on the man who killed you" admitted Rosalie.
"He failed though. I'm still here" reminded Charlotte.
"No, he didn't. If Carlisle hadn't turned you, you would be dead. This existance is not life, we are not alive. Some say this is even worse than death"
"You don't really think that do you?"
"There are times when I wish that Carlisle hadn't tried to save me. Don't get me wrong, I love this family. But sometimes I dream of having a normal life, a human life".

"What's so good about being a human anyway?" Questioned Charlotte.
"What's so good about being a soul-less, blood sucking monster?" Countered Rosalie coldly.
"No one can hurt us" Charlotte replied quietly.
Rosalie's face softened, "I understand why you think being a vampire will be great. You have strength and a power that you never had before. You can't be hurt by those who hurt you when you were a human... The others don't understand. But I do. I was killed in a similar situation to you after all".

"You said earlier that you were attacked" Charlotte said softly, hoping Rosalie would reveal more of her past to her.
"I was... I was beaten and gang raped by my fiancè and his friends while they were drunk. I'd been walking home late one night, when they found me... When they were done they left me on the street to die. Carlisle smelled the blood, and found me. He turned me, hoping I would be to Edward, what Esme was to him. But Edward never saw me in that way. I guess he was waiting for Bella" replied Rosalie.

"I'm sorry that happened to you... How did you end up with Emmett?" Asked Charlotte, who no longer felt that bringing up her werewolf problem was the right thing to do, after what Rosalie had just revealed.
"The 4 of us were camping in some hills when I came across Emmett. He'd been mauled by a bear, and I smelled the blood from miles away. I carried him all the way back to Carlisle and begged for him to change Emmett, which he did" answered Rosalie.
"When you say the 4 of you?"
"Me, Edward, Carlisle and Esme. We were the original team. Carlisle turned Edward first, when he was 17 and dying of the Spanish Influenza. Then he turned Esme after she tried to kill herself because of her daughters death. He then turned Emmett for me".

"What about the others?" Quizzed Charlotte.
"Alice and Jasper joined us a while ago, they weren't turned by Carlisle. Bella was turned just under a year ago by Edward, after she nearly died giving birth to Renesmee" revealed Rosalie.
"Oh, so Carlisle didn't turn everyone?"
"No, he didn't. And he'd never do this to someone who had another choice... Before he turned you, he asked us all to vote on whether or not you should be saved. I alone voted no. When I heard how you'd been found, it sounded exactly like my story, and I knew you were going to be like me. There was no one around to vote no for me, and I wish there had been".

"I understand why you didn't want me to become like you. But why do you want to be a human so much?" Charlotte asked.
"Vampires don't age. We don't move forward. Which means we cannot ever have children. And that is the thing I really want" Rosalie revealed.
Charlotte frowned, at her age having children was certainly not on her radar. And after the way she'd grown up, she certainly didn't really want children either.
But to live forever and never be able to have a real family, was a tough thing to live with. Which is why Charlotte could understand why Rosalie was the way she was.

"I get why you voted no. And I can kind of understand why not being able to have children, would make you angry. Who knows, when I'm older maybe I'll think like you. But right now, I'm just grateful to be alive. I have experienced so little of the world, but now I get the chance to see it all" said Charlotte, who was unable to hide the excitement in her voice.
"I'm happy for you. I'm glad that you have so much hope... I thought we were going to be the same. But I was wrong. I had a great childhood, and suffered a great deal on one specific night, but you have been suffering for years. And I'm sorry you had to go through all that alone" sympathised Rosalie.

"Honestly, I'd like to just put it all behind me. And after tonight I will finally be able to do that" admitted Charlotte.
"It won't be over for a long time. You will never forget what he did. And even if you live here with us, you will still have to see him again" reminded Rosalie.
"Maybe not. Once he's signed what he needs to with Carlisle over the next few days. Perhaps I can get him to leave Falks. I think that would be the best thing for both of us"
"Good idea. If you send him away, then we can deal with him, without anyone finding his death suspicious".

"I don't know if his death will make me happy or bring me the peace that I want" revealed Charlotte.
"Well there are other punishments out there that don't involve death. Perhaps we could get Emmett to beat him up once a week for the rest of his life. That sounds like justice to me" replied Rosalie.
"I don't know if revenge is what I seek. I just want him gone and out of my life" sighed Charlotte.
"But for that to happen, you've got to see him again tonight"
"I know. And I'm dreading it"
"You get to scare the life out of him, and since this is the only revenge you are going to be taking, you should revel in it, and enjoy frightening him".

"But to do all that, I have to see him. I have to come face to face with the man who made my life hell" Charlotte said quietly.
"He won't be able to hurt you. You're virtually indestructable now. And you have a group of highly skilled, experienced vampires with you. So you're going to be fine" reassured Rosalie.
"I know he won't be able to harm me, because I'm stronger than him now. But I'm still scared to see him again. The things he did to me might not show on my body any more. But like you said earlier, I will never be able to forget what he did".
