"my name is na jaemin. i'm moving in here. i'm your new roommate."

i looked at the boy, confusion clearly showing on my face. i did not expect my new roommate to be moving in so suddenly. after all, i did just get the email about it today. i also was surprised to see my roommate was a boy. usually dorm supervisors were strictly against opposite gender roommates.

     while i zoned out, my thoughts were quickly interrupted by a hand waving in front of my face.

     "hellooo? are you shocked by the fact you're sharing a dorm with someone as attractive as myself?" jaemin teased.

     he was pissing me off to say the least. his teasing was already becoming too much for me and we had just met.

     i glared at jaemin. "why are you rooming with me? usually they don't allow a boy to share a dorm with a girl," i explained.

     "aish jinjja~ you're really that upset about me moving in, huh?"

     i uncrossed my arms and held my hands in fists. this boy was really getting on my last nerve. i was about to go off on jaemin, but before i could say anything he held his finger up to my lips, shushing me.

     "calm down, baby. you don't need to be so upset," jaemin simply grinned and removed his finger from my face.

     i started to blush. yah~ why's he like this? i can't stand flirts like him.

     "first of all, don't call me baby. i don't know you at all and it's weird. and i'll ask again, how are you rooming with me?" i spoke clearly and firmly, which made me quite proud of myself. i wasn't usually this confident.

     "wow, sassy," he started while i just rolled my eyes. "this room was the only option i had. all the boys' dorms were full."

     all i could do was sigh. how unlucky can i be?

     "ah, makes sense," i said and turned around. i was tired and it was getting late, i wanted to start getting ready for bed. "make yourself at home. your bed is the one on the left."

     right when i was about to step away, i felt someone grab my wrist. i turned around and saw that jaemin had a cold look plastered onto his face.

     "you never introduced yourself," was all he said.

     i gulped and started to stutter. "i-i'm k-kim yujin."

     jaemin let my wrist go and i felt my heart drop a little. "no need to be nervous," he commented and chuckled. "nice to meet you, yujin."

     "same to you," i replied and cleared my throat. "well i'm getting ready for bed. do whatever you please, but don't keep me awake."

an hour later...

     i was now laying in bed, trying my best to fall asleep, but it was to no avail. jaemin was busy playing overwatch on his pc and he had no respect for my rest. he could at least turn the volume down, i thought angrily.

     eventually i lost my patience and i sat up in bed, facing jaemin who was on the other side of the room.

     "yah! you could at least turn the volume down you know!" i shouted. he did nothing but glance up at me and look right back down to his screen. "hey! pabo! are you even listening to me?" but still no response.

     "yujin-ie, i'm in the middle of a game, no? when it's over i'll be going to bed and you won't have to worry," jaemin told me with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

     "don't call me yujin-ie."

     i fiercely laid back down and narrowed my eyebrows. this is what i have to deal with for the rest of my college experience? are you kidding me?

     before i knew it though, i heard a yawn and the noise of jaemin's game stop. finally i would get some rest. i closed my eyes and cuddled with a pillow that was sitting in front of me, trying to convince myself that today was all one big dream.
