Chapter 5

"Hey Zy",he called out as I walked down the hall heading to the restroom

I turned around to face him .

"What exactly do you have to say", I asked crossing my arms

"Shhhh um obviously I didn't think this through ",he said scratching his head with one hand in his pocket

     I sucked my teeth turning around leaving him standing right there. I stared at myself in the mirror just examining all my features. My emotions are all over the place. A tear slowly fell down my face.

"No ...No you are not going to do this today Zy ", I said quickly wiping the tears away

        I sighed loudly trying to calm myself down. I took one good look at myself putting on a smile . Fake it till you make it . It's for the best .
I walked out the restroom to him still standing by the water fountain. I quickly walked the opposite direction into the lunchroom.

"What's wrong why the sad face",a voice said sitting down in the seat beside me

I looked up to see my bestfriend staring at me with a sad look.

"Nothing I'm okay", I said playing with my food

"Nah look at me ", he said lifting my head up to look at him

"I'm fine ", I said with a small smile before going back to playing with my food

I'm fine . It's just one of them days .

      I walked to my last class of the day feeling like sugar honey ice tea. I took a seat in the back . I just need to pull myself together that's all. I just need to put myself in place that's all. I'm going to be okay. Better than okay actually I'm just tripping .
