Chapter 7

Zy POV

     I slid my mask up on my face before getting out the car not really feeling like going to work. Working for me is just a distraction to get my mind off things and a way to have my  OWN money. I put my keys in my purse as well as my phone then put it in my locker. I reapplied lipgloss because babyyyyy I like my lips to be glossed out.

"Hi , Welcome to Wendy's ",I started with a friendly smile

"Welcome to ——**gets cut off**

"Um I'll have a biggie bag ", the voice said infront of me with a slight attitude

Before I knew it I snapped my head up with a mug ready to snap.

"Dang , Zy a nigga just was tryna get yo attention ",Devontae said with a laugh

"You really pushing it **rolls eyes** What type of drink you want", I said not looking at him focusing on the order

"Can we talk"?, he asked ignoring the fact that I'm tryna take his order.

"What is there to talk about and I'm working right now so either you tell me your drink or get out the face",I said annoyed

        It was now the end of my shift and I am so glad. I happily clocked out and grabbed my stuff to leave. As I got closer to my car my phone and Apple Watch started to ring . I looked at my Apple Watch to see a very much familiar number making me roll my eyes. Just as I looked up he was standing in front of my car with his hands crossed.

A smile slowly formed on my face but quickly faded.

"Umm why are you here ",? I said not looking at him

"To see you love, I really miss you", he said standing in front of my car door

"Cute ",I said before reaching for my car handle only for him to gently grab it

I looked up at him very much annoyed as he smiled from ear to ear.

"I'm listening "

"I really miss us I miss the bond and love that we shared you are the first girl I ever did this for you can ask anybody I been out of my head every since we stopped talking you my first love and last love I don't wanna loose you to anybody or anything ",he said looking me in the eyes

"You really think we can just go back to normal like shit never happened you think I'm just suppose to forgive you like that",I said before pushing him out of my way and getting into my car

He made sure to stop my door from closing. I continued to put on my seat belt. I pressed the start button on my car and put some sanitizer on my hands.

"Wow so you not gone talk to me?"he said staring at me as I scrolled through instagram

He finally closed my door and walked away.

Just as I put my phone down he got in the passenger seat of my car.

"Glad I happen to have let my sister get my car so looks like I'm stuck with you", he said in a matter of fact tone

I ignored him and turned the music up before pulling off.

      I glanced at him wondering why is he still trying. Why can he just give up . Our relationship will never be the same it will never get better. I'm not finna play games with someone who doesn't know what they want . I can easily go back to acting like he didn't exist.

We arrived at his house causing me to turn the music down.

"We here", I said looking at the road

"Sure is",he said taking off his seatbelt

       He let his seat back and pulled out his phone. I stared at him as he scrolled down Instagram like he not in front of his house. I rolled my eyes and turned the car off. I opened up the Wattpad and started reading.

"Mmm it's been 30 minutes of us sitting in the car and you still haven't said shit", he spoke up

"Get the fuck out my car ",I said blankly looking him dead in the face

A smile formed on his face as I mugged him.

"My pleasure mean ass",he said getting out the car
