How It All Began

Mahiru's P.O.V

Today seemed like a normal day. High school finished and I was making my way home until I found a black cat. At first, it seemed dead. I picked the cat up and brought it to my apartment. The cat only seemed to be knocked. I gave it a bell and named him Kuro! I picked it up and said, "I'll name you Kuro!" The next day, I went to school and left Kuro in my apartment. Everything was going fine. Once I got back home, the Tv was on. "I thought I turned it off," I said to myself while walking towards the living room. Once I got there, a man was watching it while eating noodles. (If have read the manga, you know who this is. For those who don't read the manga, you'll just see pictures of him.) 

Kuro's P.O.V

This is such a pain...I turned around to find a young high schoolboy. He grabbed a mop and swung it towards me. I easily dogged it and appeared behind him. "Hey what's the deal?" I asked. "Listen! You can't just break into someone else's house!" yelled the kid while he swung the mop again. This is such a pain..."Trying to scare me? Look at me, I'm shaking in my boots," I said. The boy was about to say something when he slipped. He grabbed the curtain and opened it. I fell on my stomach and turned into a cat. "Huh? Kuro?" said the kid with confusion. He picked me up. He closed the curtain and I turned back into my human form. "Can you keep it closed? I hate the sunlight!" I said. He threw me onto the floor. "Wa-what are you?" he asked. 

"Nothing special. I'm just your friendly shut-in, one who happens to be a vampire," I responded. The kid just looked at me in confusion and amazement. He grabbed my jacket and started to drag me across the floor. "That's it you're going out the window," said the kid. "No! You can't throw out in the sun! I'll die! OK, technically I'm immortal but still!" I shouted. I turned around to look at him. "How can you humans be such mean creatures?" I asked. "You're the one to talk! Wait...a vampire! Are you here to drink all my blood?!" yelled the kid. 

Narrator P.O.V  

This is how our two heroes met each other. Here are the main things you need to know.

1- There are 8 vampires called 'servamps'

2- Once a servamp has a master, or an eve, they have to obey their orders.

3- If servamp and eve have been part from each other for more than 24 hours, the eve dies.

4- If servamp touches the sunlight, they turn into animals.

5- There are other vampires but those are subclasses. Subclasses are vampires made from a servamp. They serve only the servamp who created them.

These are all the things you need to keep in mind. 

After our heroes introduce themselves, they soon run into a subclass named Belkia. While in the battle, Mahiru makes a contract with Kuro. They become servamp and eve. They defeat Belkia and soon learn there is an 8th servamp.

Mahiru P.O.V

It's been a week since I met Kuro and the other servamps. Their eves are also a handful. I was laying on my bed thinking if my contract with Kuro was a good idea. I soon heard a knock on my door. The door slowly opened and Kuro walked inside. "You've been acting strange all this week. Is something bothering you?" asked Kuro. I didn't answer. "It's just...everything that is happening right now, it's too much for me to handle," I responded. He sighed. "Do you...ever regret meeting me?" he asked. I was shocked when he asked that question. "No!" I yelled out. 'I don't know.' I thought. Kuro walked away and closed the door. 'Why would he ask that question?' I thought again. After a while, I stood up and walked towards the kitchen. When I got there, Kuro was watching Tv while eating noodles. I sighed and made myself some food.

I couldn't help but wonder why Kuro asked that question. 

Kuro's P.O.V  

Of course, he regrets meeting me. Everyone regrets it. I soon noticed Mahiru walking in the kitchen. He's wondering why did I ask that question. I just know it. "Hey Kuro, do you want to go out for a walk?" asked Mahiru. I shook my head. "No," I responded. I suddenly felt a lot of pain on my neck. I let go of the noddles and fell on my back. "Kuro!" yelled Mahiru. My vision was getting blurry. The pain was getting worse by each second. I yelled out in pain while Mahiru was trying to call Misono. Why is this happening? This had never happened before. "D--n't worry K---!"  yelled Mahiru. My heart was racing. What did he say? Everything soon went black. 

Misono P.O.V

When I got Mahiru's phone call, he sounded desperate. I soon heard a knock on the door. Lily opened it up and it was Mahiru. He rushed towards me holding sleepy ash. After he explained to me what happened, I was confused. "So he just collapsed?" I asked. Mahiru nodded. "Lily! Has this ever happened?" asked Mahiru. Lily shook his head. "No. Since I was one of the last ones, I don't know if the other servamps witnessed this," responded Lily. Kuro was in his cat form. Even though there was no sunlight. His breathing was getting faster and faster. "Call Tetsu! Maybe he knows something!" I yelled out. I don't know what's going on, but I want to help! After a while, Tetsu came running in. Mahiru soon checked his temperature. "He has a fever!" yelled Mahiru. He looked like he was about to cry.

Old child looked at sleepy ash who was lying on a bed. "Hugh, has this happened before?" asked Tetsu. He shook his head. "No. It's the first time," said Hugh. 

Lily's P.O.V

This is a sad view. Mahiru looks like he's in pain. I looked at my big brother. He seemed like he was going to die. His fever was very high. This is the worst fever I have ever seen! I put an icepack on his head so at least the heat could calm down. "Where did the pain start, Mahiru?" I asked. "He touched his neck before he collapsed so I say his neck," responded Mahiru. I nodded. I can't look at big brother's neck because he's in his cat form. So I guess I have to wait until he's in his human form. We all left the room except Mahiru. We all started to think of what could cause such a high fever. "Old child, do you remember when big brother finished fighting Belkia? He said something and started to act strange." I said. Old child gave it some thought. "Let's talk in a more private place," said Old child while walking away. "Please watch Mahiru. He's having a hard time right now. We're going to discuss something very important," I said while following old child.

Belkia P.O.V

So sleepy ash is unconscious. I smiled. Maybe Tsubaki will find this interesting. I made my way back to Tsubaki and the other subclasses. Once I arrived, there were a few humans in our base. "What are you doing here?~" I asked. They turned around. "Who are you?!" yelled one of them. They had knives out. "Look, I don't have time to play right now. So can you please leave," I said. They came rushing at me. "You know what? I'll kill you!" I said while stabbing them in the back. "Tsutsu!~ I've got some news!~" I said. I wonder what would happen if we killed both of them.
