Alpha's Story

(Deku's POV)

"This boy, Todoroki Shoto, he's Katsumi's twin brother... my little brother..." 

Dabi says it with just a sad look in his eyes. I didn't know what to say: Alpha's and Dabi's brother was a hero-in-training like Kacchan? Only thing is... Alpha doesn't want to hurt him? "I guess she wants me to tell you guys... what's she's hiding, I guess," Dabi says awkwardly. 

"Our father is the number two hero, Endeavor, and let me tell you he's the worst father ever," Dabi starts. I felt shocked. "Her real name is Todoroki Katsumi - she, her brother, and basically the rest of our siblings were part of a Quirk Marriage. All that damn old man wanted was to have a child who'd surpass All Might as the number one hero - and our old man chose her and Shoto as the chosen child. I don't really remember much about them, they're always training, and I ran away years ago..." 

"That's terrible," I say. "She still misses her twin brother?"

Dabi nods, "She ran away a month before you came." There was a moment of silence while Toga and I dwelled on this. "I'm going to go check on her," Dabi breaks, the silence then leaves Toga and I sitting in silence. So that's why she wanted to burn Endeavor's hero agency. That's why she hated him so much. That's why just went beyond her limit of fire; because she was angry. 

If anything, she and Dabi share the same reasoning of becoming a villain: the three of us want revenge. And maybe once it happens, then we'll rest. 

(Alpha's POV)

I barely heard it when my door opened then closed. I barely realized that Dabi had even entered the room until he pulled me into his warm embrace. "I told them," he said softly, rubbing circles on my back in a soothing way. I felt myself relax in his embrace. "I don't wanna hurt him Dabi," I whispered. 

"Shhhh... you don't have to. Just ignore him and stick with Deku as he hunts for Bakugo. Besides if he really does love you like you love him, he couldn't bring himself to hurt you," Dabi responds. 

I nod, absentmindedly playing with a white strand of hair from my right side. Knowing Shoto, it was probably his preferred side - he had told me right the night before I ran away, "I want to reject our damn old man entirely by rising to the top without his power." 

"Katsumi, if you're still going to go on this mission, shouldn't you dye your hair so he doesn't call you out?" Dabi suggests, bringing me out of the past. 

I shook my head, "Let him see me." I look Dabi into his blue orbs. "I want Shoto to see me. That way, our damn old man will know what he turned me into." I remembered the words I had yelled at his face right before I had run away: "Well what if I don't wanna be a hero?" 

Now, I will make sure he and the rest of the world knows what he turned me into.
