(Alpha's POV)

He snuffed out his flames at last minute? Shoto... why? Was it because of me? That's so annoying - I need to actually talk to him. "Damn, I wanted to see Kacchan lose," Deku said, sounding disappointed.

"He would've lost if Shoto hadn't put out his flames!" I snapped at Deku. He flinched at my tone. My gaze softened, "Sorry I didn't mean to take all my anger and frustration out on you."

Deku nods, "You should talk to him, you know..."

I pulled out my phone and the next thing I knew, I was at his phone contact. "Do you think he even wants to talk to me anymore? I hurt him pretty bad the other day," I ask.

Dabi senses my hesitation and he says, "Well, seeing he hasn't blocked your number, you should go for it."

And I did.

(Todoroki's POV)

It was time for the awards. But I wasn't focused on that at the moment. My mind was still on Katsumi, no matter how hard I tried to replace it something else. The rustle of chains snapped me out of my conflicting thoughts; Bakugo had woken up and was being his mad and aggressive self again. If he wanted to be number one so badly, why the hell is he chained to the podium in the number one spot?

Whatever, let's just get this over with...

---

I pulled out my phone to check the time and was surprised to see a text message from...

"Katsumi...?" I quickly tapped into it, to see she had typed,

Katsumi:
Hey Shoto.
Look, you wanna meet up and talk face to face in person some time in the near future?
You can say no and block my number, it's okay.
I know I said some hurtful things the other day, and I just want to say sorry. I was frustrated and didn't mean to take it out on you.
I'm sorry.

Me:
Katsumi?
We can meet up, probably tomorrow, I don't have classes tomorrow.

I was surprised when she responded so suddenly, as if she'd been waiting by her phone the entire time.

Katsumi:
Sure.
Why don't we meet up at the park we used to go to in middle school?
I won't come disguised, just saying

Me:
Won't you be recognized?

Katsumi:
It's okay - I'll make a run for it if someone recognizes me from the USJ attack ;)

Me:
...
Okay

I smiled to myself - she cares. She actually cares about me. "Oi, Half and Half Bastard! This isn't over! I want a rematch and this time, ACTUALLY USE YOUR FLAMES! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU EVEN SMILING AT ANYWAYS?" I recognized that person as Bakugo, the walking time bomb himself.

"That's none of your business," I felt my smile quickly slip away. "And no, I don't have time for a rematch."

And like that I left behind an angry Bakugo.

(No one's POV)

Katsumi was sitting cross-legged on a bench, watching the younger children reenact the most iconic moments of yesterday's sports festival. She was wearing a navy blue hoodie and dark jeans, her hood off so Shoto could recognize her more easily. And surely, he did.

"Katsumi!"

The girl turned around at the sound of her name, and practically beamed with happiness. Shoto... she held her arms out, inviting him in. He basically threw himself into them, a grin of his own forming on his own face.

At that moment, they forgot she's a villain and he's a hero. In that one moment, they were just brother and sister - no longer on opposing sides, but on the same side.

"I missed you, Shoto."
"I missed you too, Katsumi."
