Alpha's POV
It was just another day.
My brother and I were walking away from the crime scene, watching that local hero agency go up in flames - beautiful red and blue flames. It was entirely satisfying watching a hero's work go up in flames.
As we slipped inside a dark alleyway, we both slipped off our hoods. "That was fun, Dabi," I said happily.
He nodded. "Next time, let's do Endeavor's. Watch our old man's work go down in flames," he said with a wicked grin.
I smirked, "The sweet irony of Endeavor being defeated by his own power."
"Alright, alright, I get that we hate him and that burning down his agency is fun, but let's get out of here before anyone gets suspicious," Dabi said, grabbing my arm and dragging me away, getting us further away from the crime scene. We both put our hoods back on and headed back to Dabi's place.
"When are we gonna do it?" I ask him innocently.
"Soon, but not immediately," he said calmly.
"Why not?" I whined.
"Because we need to lay low for a bit, otherwise the heroes will suspect something. We can't just march in like that. Besides, you're not even properly disguised, he'll recognize you, seeing that you just ran away from home last month."
"Tch. Fine. Have it your way."
Deku's POV
I was somewhat bored, lying on the floor the next day after school. Honestly, I hated it there. But it didn't matter anymore. I didn't care when Kacchan decided to try to make my life hell again. I let him be. Because once I find the chance, I'll make him regret everything. Make him regret he was ever born.
Scrolling through news articles, I stopped when one caught my eye: "Local Hero Agency in City Gets Burned Down. Police Suspects It May Be the Work of a New Villain". There was a picture of the building itself on fire, the flames were magnificent, and there were two different shades: the ordinary red flames and then the more heated blue flames. Judging from the size and power of them, it has to be from someone's quirk.
Slipping on my sweater, I decided that I wanted to see this disaster for myself.
---
Damn why were the streets so crowded? It was annoying, to be honest. Screw this, I'm going to take a shortcut through some of those alleyways.
But even the alleyway had people in it apparently. Or at least two that I can see of. I didn't notice them until I ran into one. That person stumbled and as they did, their hood slipped off, revealing shoulder length hair and that the person I had run into was a she. Her hair was interesting; it was red on her left half and white on her right. And her eyes... her right eye was grey and her left eye was blue. There was a visible scar over her left eye. I noticed her companion when he caught her and said to me, "Watch where you're going."
"S-sorry," I replied, wanting to get out of there as soon as possible so that I can analyze the damage that villain did.
But just when I was about to run off, the girl said, "Wait. Where are you going in such a hurry."
Should I tell them? Why not, there's no harm in being interested in a fire, right?
"I'm actually on my way to see that fire over there," I said, pointing in that general area. "I saw it on the news and decided to check it out; it looked really cool and I wanted to see it for myself. Have you seen it yet?"
The young man nods, "We have." Then to the girl, "C'mon, we have to get going."
But the girl didn't move. She made eye contact with me and I was surprised in the amount of coldness in her eyes. Her question then took me off guard, "Who is it that you're after?"
"Katsumi! You're gonna give us away," her companion protests.
"Shut up, Dabi. I just wanna know," the girl named Katsumi responded.
"Wh-what makes you ask that?" I ask her.
Katsumi smiles, "Nothing, it's just your eyes. There's a burning desire in them for revenge, yet an uncertainty of how to make it happen. I just wanna know whether or not it's a hero."
It wouldn't hurt to tell her...
"Actually, it's a childhood 'friend' who wants to be a hero, but makes my life a living nightmare everyday," I say.
She frowns, "What kind of hero is that?"
"The kind of hero Kacchan is apparently..." I didn't care that I let his name - or rather his nickname - slip.
In the corner of my eye, I see Katsumi nudge the guy called Dabi and I heard her whisper to him excitedly, "See! I told he's like us. Can we let him join us? Please?"
Dabi gave in, "Fine, you can ask."
Katsumi then beamed at me and said to me, "You wanna come with us? We can have fun together, you, me, and Dabi over here! We will give you everything you've ever wanted"
Is this a good decision? What does it matter? You have nothing left to lose anyways.
"Sounds fun, I'm in."
