"Why are we shopping, Alice?" Ella asked as she was being dragged by Alice in Seattle. Edward was hoping a little closer because he didn't want to be too far apart but Alice didn't see any danger so Edward agreed.

"You need new clothes for your tour, uh, duh!" Alice said with her perky tone that Ella hated in the morning.

"But it's like seven in the morning." She groaned.

"A head start." Alice shrugged.

"Fine," Ella sighed. "But I know you want to buy a new dress for my dinner with Edward tonight."

"It's just dinner and he's enjoying you because you're leaving and not coming until Christmas and then you'll be gone again until February." Alice pointed out and made Ella feel guilty. She hated putting the band before Edward but it was like she was living in two worlds.

There's the human world where she has to pretend to be single to protect the Cullen's and the rest of the vampire world. Then there's her world with the Cullen's where she feels at home and where she feels she belongs.

She hates separating them.

When they walked into Forever 21, Ella spotted a dress and fell in love with it. She got her size and went to the changing room. When she came out to show it to Alice, Alice squealed.

"He's going to drool! You have to get it."

"I am, duh!" Ella laughed.

She paid for the dress and Alice and Ella went on a shoe hunt to go perfectly with the dress. Ella thought her feet were going to fall off when Alice finally found the perfect shoes to go with the dress. Ella got a necklace that was a black rose.

The drive back home Ella was humming a song.

"What's the name of the one you're humming?" Alice asked.

"Oh, it's called Decoy."

"Can I hear it?" Alice beamed and Ella laughed.

"Well, it goes a little like..."
