Heartbeat pounding away {sequel to 'I.U.F'}

|| Two Months Later ||

"One, two three four!" Ella counted and the band began to play.

Mike drummed, while Josh strummed the electric guitar and Dan at the bass.

Ella began to sing with the help of Aubrey as background singer.

"Just talk yourself up and tear yourself down!" Ella paused as she singed the lyrics in her head. "You've hit your one wall, now find a way around!"

She bangs her head a little.

"Well what's the problem? You've a lot of nerve!"

Josh does a little solo and then Aubrey joins Ella.

"So, what'd you think I would say? No, you can't run away, no you can't run away, so what'd you think I would say, no you can't run away, no you can't run away... you wouldn't." Their voices low and almost robotic like how they planned.

Ella and Aubrey sing the chorus together.

"I never wanted to say this! You never wanted to stay, I put my faith in you so much faith in, and you just threw it away!"

There's about 5 second pauses before Aubrey says.

"You threw it away!!"

Then, Ella takes over.

"I'm not so naive, my sorry eyes can see! The ways you fight shy of almost everything! Well if you give up you'll get what you deserve!"

Ella pauses and Aubrey joins her again.

"So, what'd you think I would, no you can't run away, no you can't run away." She paused for two seconds; this part was much more powerful. "So, what'd you think I would say, no you can't run away, no you can't run away... you wouldn't!"

Aubrey joins Ella again.

"I never wanted to say this, you never wanted to stay. I put my faith in you, so much faith in you and you jus threw it away!"

"You threw it awaaaayyyyy!" Aubrey vocalized.

"You were finished long before, we had even seen a start, why don't you stand up be a man about it fight with your bear hands about it noooooooowww?!!" She gave so much life into the song, she sang from heart.

"I never wanted to say, say this, you never wanted to stay, well did you? I put my faith in you, so much faith in you. Then you just threw it away"

"I love this song." Dan prompted with a grin on his face.

"When are we leaving to LA?" Aubrey asked Ella.

"Tomorrow morning." She sighed as she placed the microphone back on the... thing.

"What time?" Josh asked; big news on both of them. Josh and Ella broke up about a month ago.

Ella was spending too much taking care of her cousin and Josh was getting tired of getting 'neglected' so they called it quits. Ella was sad about it, but came to the conclusion it was for the best because then she would have to tell him what she really was and put him life at stake.

"Early, we have lots of interviews before the Breakfast thing and then we have about a week to ourselves before Almost Acoustic Christmas." Ella said recalling from her planner. "Be ready at seven."

"Will do!" Mike saluted. She gave him a small smile.

"Well, I've got to go and start dinner before Uncle Chuck gets home. See ya." Ella got her note book filled with songs they had been practicing for the last two months.
