sadie should of done something before either boy could do something they would regret later, interjected at the right time just before it all went to hell, or maybe even drive away in wyatt's car that he foolishly left the keys in and the engine still running, playing as the never ending bassline of this stupid scene. she could of done something, anything. but she didn't. sitting there drowning in her own pain, it wasn't helping the situation, only fueling finn's irritation over her falsely accused act of playing the innocent victim that couldn't do no wrong

before sadie could even pant another breath, wyatt had landed a hard punch on finn's sculpted nose, making the raven stumble back only a couple steps, a hand reaching up to the area of impact and flinching on the running red sea of blood pouring out onto his hand and the subtle crunches that his nose had made when he placed the most gentle touch to it. he laughed coldly, staring at the blood drip from his fingers as he played with them near his face, his watery eyes glazing upon the thick red liquid.

"oh my god!" the redhead quickly picked herself off the floor, ignoring the grazes on her knees as they moved despite the excruciating pain they were sending up her legs. she ran towards finn, her caring mother goose instincts kicking in at the wrong time with the wrong person, she placed her hands cautiously on his chest. she noticed him looking deeply in her eyes but she just laid her focus on the mess that wyatt had made on his face.

she looked back to glare at wyatt, her frown clear as day but he wasn't looking - pacing up and down the wet lawn, pressing his bruised knuckles to his lips, forcing that simple pain pressure onto his joints. she turned her head back to finn, finally looking at his stupid eyes, but they were no longer stark and deserted, now painting a melancholy and sympathetic picture. his waterline soon flooding with water, clogging up his vision but never took his attention off the girl.

"i-i'm sorry." he mumbled, voice cracking as it tried to reason itself with the situation, he feels like an absolute fool. he should of just wallowed away in the alcohol he had doused himself in earlier, not making a goddamn racket with his ex and his bestfriend, maybe he didn't pull up a good presentation of an argument, but he wanted sadie to know he was sorry. he just wanted her to listen. "i-i-i didn't mean to come here so late, i just feel so lost without you, sadie."

sadie shuddered under his words. not knowing if this was another scheme to catch sadie off guard again, she only knew that she didn't want wyatt hurt in an act of quickly served revenge from finn, she was going to play all cards to keep him safe as she understood why he did assault the raven. she sighed as she reached her hand up to his cheek, cupping it gently. he leaned his head into the touch, internally melted at the contact. finn noticed that she had moved closer to his body, becoming more clearer in his vision.

he blinked, the water that had been held on top of his eyelashes and waterline finally breaking free and trailing down his face, he sobbed dryly once, before speaking again. "i just want... i-i, i miss you too much, sadie. it hurts awaking every morning knowing that i can't see your face later in the day or that i can't see your good morning text that you send at six in the morning everyday, only for me to see it five hours later. i miss your hugs, kisses, everything. i miss you."

sadie gulped heavily at every word he breathed, feeling it pang painfully at her heartstrings. maybe she wasn't as over finn as she thought as she wiped his tears away with a soft swipe of her thumb, because she too missed his face, his cheesy music he played in the car as they drove around the neighborhood late at night with her eyes on his face and is hand on her thigh as it felt like the world was theirs and they were the only ones living. but maybe he was moving too fast for an accepting of the apology that she hasn't even panted for, soon his hands were hovering near her waist, the cold ice temperature of his limb made her microhairs stand on end as she straightened in posture, her mind growing tired of having to scream at her body to move out his grasp. something was wrong about this, sadie hates it.

his hands finally made contact with her skin, they were cold, rough and painful to have collided with sadie's fiery temperature. the hairs on her skin stood out on end as they shivered due to the irregularity of the situation, the nerves in sadie's body starting twitching, itching as though to keep trying to bring the redhead out of this. she tried so hard as to not shiver under his touch, worried that he would find that as a flaw and all it out for the whole neighborhood to hear about - but she failed. a shudder spread to her head down to her toes, noticeable from a mile away like she had got shot by an electric taser.

"really? how sensitive are you?" finn looked disappointed, but sadie thought that it wasn't for his behaviour and was in fact going to do what sadie was scared he was going to act out. his tear ducts drying instantly as he stared down sadie, fingers curling into her hip, the nails scrapping along her skin causing sadie to yelp out in shock, she looked down at her feet for a moment to only look back up at finn. "come on, it's only me."

'yeah, like you didn't threaten to burn down my garden or even murder me over the phone, no, no, obviously that's all forgiven for.' she thought as her hand started to shake on his face, tiny tremors that she attempted to contain. "you've changed, you never act like this." she admitted, gulping before speaking and never breaking eye contact.

"like what, sadie?" finn questioned, pressing his grip more harshly onto her hips when she tried to back out of the grasp - bringing her more closer to his shouting mouth. "like what?!"

"i-i don't know!" sadie choked, tears trickling her eyes as she hated being yelled at, especially at such a close distance, she took her hands away from his face, now pushing against his chest as she reached to get away from him, groaning softly out of effort - hoping wyatt had heard finn shout at her like that at such an audible level and help her out. "let me go, i don't like this."

"why? you used to like physical attention too much back then, don't act like i'm the only one who has changed." finn spat, arching his back towards sadie, maybe even leaning in for a kiss, but sadie wasn't having it, awkwardly arching her back parallel to his. meanwhile thinking about what he had said, sadie thought that she hadn't changed; even if she did, it was for the better.

without warning, finn had released her, mumbling a heartless 'fine' as he returned to his natural posture, sadie had landed on the ground once again, the breath being taken from her lungs, her side soaking up the water from the grass. finn stepped away to light another cigarette he had stashed in his pocket, held between his fingers, he flicked off the extra ash burning up and glaring up and down her home...
