"Well would you look at the true colors coming out on you."
Passing a hallway Sam is spray painting the last Devil's Trap before a door. I entre the cubicles where I see Henriksen and a younger officer named Phil readying dozens of guns. Leaning against the table where Dean's shoulder is getting patched up by Nancy, I point out crossing my arms "That's cute guys but it's not going to do much good."
Pausing his unloading of rifle rounds, Phil persists "We've got an arsenal in here."
"Eleanor is right", Dean interjects sternly, not lifting his eye from the precinct blueprints "You don't poke a bear with a BB gun. You'll just piss it off."
Tossing the rifle down with a bang, Henriksen looks utterly lost and out of his element "Then what do you need?"
"Salt", Dean adamantly tells him, sternly repeating as I nod along "Lots and lots of salt."
"Salt?" The officer looks between Dean and me skeptically as if it's the most absurd thing he's heard of. Given he found out Demons exist not five minutes ago it shouldn't be that hard for him to comprehend.
Tilting his gaze up to me, Dean comments "El you're right. There's an echo in here."
Sighing, I explain "As simple as I can put it salt has been considered pure and Demons... well... aren't."
"There's road salt in the storeroom" Nancy helpful speaks up, fiddling with the bandage on Dean's shoulder.
"Perfect", Dean compliments, turning back to Henriksen and Phil "We need to salt every window and every door. Anywhere something can come busting in." The men glancing my way I give them a small shrug, silently indicating Dean's right. Reluctantly they wander out of the room to search for the salt. Leaning over the blueprints beside Dean, I listen to him ask "How're you doing Nancy?"
"Okay", Nancy replies in a shy voice. Glancing up through my lashes, I empathies with her when Nancy sheepishly explains "When I was little I would come home from church and start to talk about the Devil. My parents would tell me to stop being so literal... guess I showed them." Adding the last piece of tape to the bandage, Nancy tells Dean "Alright. That should hold."
