The Covenant [Chase Collins x OC]

The Problem

[Third Person POV]

In the swim class, few students started to swim on the coach's command. Sounds of water splashing and whistling from the coach can be heard all over the place, even a few chattering from students as well.

Reid and Tyler gathered up in dry spot watching all the other students swim. Caleb and Pogue appear beside them in their swim attire, apparently after one class Caleb was sent to speak to the Dean concerning about the dead new student from the party at the Dells, and the regarding issue at the bar in Nicky's, last but the least topic discussed with him was about taking care of Chase's adjustment in the school.

Crossing his arms, Tyler decided to ask him first "Whats the word?" Caleb didn't tell the others yet except Pogue.

Caleb answered "Someone told him the fight on Nicky's"

Reid pressed "Feel like elaborating on that one?", suddenly Pogue's hand stretched pretending to reach something from Reid's face

"You've got a peice of glass on your face" he said teasingly making Reid slap his hand away, the boys chuckled at this. Making an effort to change the topic Reid starts to look around the pool area "Where's Hester? She should be here about now"

That made the boys look around as well. "I think I saw her talking with Chase by her locker, they looked pretty close" Tyler added, the boys slowly gazed at him in question.

In cue, the entrance doors to the pool area opened revealing Hester and Chase coming in late. The boys dirfted their attention to the two, then the coach whistled "Simmons, Collins you're late. Make 20 laps"

The two agreed and prepared themselves to swim for their punishing laps.

Tyler cooed "Someone's in it for your cousin Caleb" while smirking like he just had the greatest gossip of all.

Caleb denies "The only way to her heart is through her mind" that's one of the things he knows about his cousin.

And still Tyler continued to push his buttons "Look at Chase trying his best" using his eyes to pointedly look at Chase and Hester across from them swimming their laps.

Pogue went to tease Reid again "Did you and Hester already broke up?"

"Quiet you!" Reid sneered playfully back. Just the three of them were having their joking moments but Caleb's gaze still fixed on Hester and Chase in the pool.

The three stopped their laughing to turn back and follow Caleb's gaze "But seriously talking together by the lockers and getting late together?" Pogue said

Caleb whispered to himself "And that's a problem"
