Sarah and I walk into the teacher's lounge and we notice Ethan struggling with one of the vending machines. He hits the glass, which does nothing. "Come on..." he utters in annoyance. Sarah walks toward the vending machine and slaps it with her hand, making multiple candies fall out of the slot. "Is that one of your fledgling powers?" Ethan questions. "Not a power. Just a perk," Sarah responds. "So, where's your new jock BFF?" I ask, changing the subject. "Something's weird. It's like the lions have started hanging out with the zebras," Ethan mentions. Then, Benny walks over to us. "Who's got two thumbs, three free candy bars, and is best buds with Dave Stachowski?" Benny excitedly questions. "That's right, this guy," he declares as he sits down next to me and holds up the candy from the vending machine with a grin.

"I, uh, see what you mean," Sarah responds, making me stifle a laugh. "It gets worse. It's like he's inserted himself into my life," Ethan explains to Sarah and me. "So he eats all your food," I comment with an unamused expression. "Not enough to break up a good romance," Sarah remarks while pinching Ethan's left cheek. Ethan cringes at the touch and pushes her hand away from his face. "There's more. The guy howls," Ethan says. "Woo-hoo! Free candy bar!" Dave exclaims with glee. Then, he howls. "A lot of dudes howl. It's a... it's a jock animal thing," Benny points out. "I can't be the only one who's noticed how hairy he is," Ethan states. I cringe after Ethan mentions these words, my face showing a disgusted look. "So he's hairy. A lot of guys are hairy. It's a... hairy guy thing," Benny refutes, skeptical about his own words. "It's basic math: howling + hair + this town =" Benny interrupts him by stating: "Awesome." With a grin. "Werewolf," Ethan concludes. "Werewolf," Benny says in an uncertain tone.

"Ethan, not everything is supernatural," I comment. "You're obsessed," Sarah elaborates. "Yeah, he's just hanging out with us 'cause he realized how cool we are," Benny says with a smile. Sarah and I give each other looks of skepticism. Then, we turn our attention back to Benny. "Watch. I'll prove it," Benny states as he gets up from his seat. He walks up to two girls who are trying to get snacks from the vending machine. "Ladies," he greets the girls with a smirk before one of them sticks a Cheeto up his nose, while the other dumps the rest of the bag on his head, leaving some crumbs in Benny's hair. He comes back to us with a frown and I look at him with an amused grin.

"How'd that work for you?" I ask in amusement. "Just give it time," he responds while brushing the crumbs out of his hair while pulling the Cheeto out of his nose. "Dude's a werewolf," Benny states. "Okay, we prove that David's a werewolf. Then we figure out what he wants," Ethan plans. "We've got better things to do than stalk back shavers," Sarah remarks. We get up from our seats and we leave the lounge. "Like what?" Ethan questions in shock. "Soccer tryouts," Sarah states. Then, we turn around and exit the room, leaving a dumbfounded Ethan and Benny behind.

After the tryouts went horribly after Sarah kicked a ball onto a girl's face, possibly breaking her nose, Sarah runs after the crying girl and I run after her to try to stop her from causing more damage. "I'm sorry!" Sarah shouts toward the girl, apologetically. "Forget it, muscles. I need girls for the team-- girls with faces," the coach states toward her. "I think I have one of those concussion things. What do you call those again?" the injured girl states while holding her head. "You might want to try wrestling. Or ultimate fighting," the girl with the injured nose remarks toward Sarah.

Then, Erica walks into the hallway. "Let me guess: soccer went the same way tennis tryouts went, and volleyball, and... yearbook?" Erica questions. I furrow my brows and look at Sarah with a perplexed look since the yearbook tryout was mentioned. "I'm just trying to do something! Something so I can feel, I don't know, normal?" Sarah states with frustration. "You don't fit in with humans anymore, Sarah. Why keep fighting it? Come over to the hot side," Erica says as she gestures over to her and I with a smirk.
