Earlier, Sarah had asked me to come over to the Morgan's, so I decided to go over there. I ring the doorbell and Benny answers the door. "Hey," he states breathlessly. "Hi," I say with an amiable smile. He stares at me for a moment before I ask: "Uh, can I come in?" He moves out of the way and says: "Oh, yeah." He lets me in and closes the door after I am inside. "Zoe, you're here!" Jane exclaims with a smile. "Hi, Jane!" I exclaim with the same energy.

She runs over to me and I crouch down to give her a hug. "We're going to have so much fun!" She exclaims with joy. "We definitely are," I reply with a smile. Sarah crosses her arms and looks over her shoulder. I look behind me and I see Benny awkwardly standing there. I give an awkward grin and wave to him. He does the same with a red tinge on his cheeks. Jane goes toward my ear and whispers: "I think Benny likes you." A bit of a pink tinge starts to form on my cheeks, and I don't respond. Sarah notices my uneasiness and changes the subject. "Let's go watch "Jacuzzi Time Machine!"

We move to the living room and I sit on the floor next to Benny. As if tonight couldn't get any more awkward... Ethan and Sarah sit on the couch and Jane sits down on a pillow a few inches from me. The movie starts and suddenly, we hear a shout from outside. Then, the television turns to static. Everyone exclaims "No, no, no, no!" With shock since the television connection got interrupted. Next, we hear a shout and someone landing on the ground with a thud. "I've really got to work on my roof landings," the voice states. "Rory?!" I question with an annoyed expression. Benny lets out an irate huff. "There goes movie night," Benny comments. "Well, maybe we could find something else to do," I suggest. Benny nods in agreement. "Games are in the basement," Ethan states. I nod and I go downstairs to Ethan's basement, with Benny and the others following behind.

I hear other footsteps approaching the basement. Jane, Rory, Sarah, and Ethan enter as well. Benny and I look at the games. "Okay, we've got Math-a-lot Village," I state. "Too much math," Benny replies. I stand up from my crouching position and go to a different game. "Word Strike?" I ask. "Requires spelling," Benny complains. "Got anything in a nice, non-educational flavor?" Benny questions Ethan. "Oh! Check this out!" Ethan exclaims in surprise. He crouches and picks up a box. "Spirit Speaker. 'Host a séance and make contact with the spirit world," Ethan reads.

Then, he blows off the dust caked on the box, making us cough. "Now we're talking," Benny states. "What's a séance?" Rory inquires. "It's like a ritual conducted to make contact with spirits," Ethan explains. "Dead spirits! Those things give me the creeps. I thought they were banned from toy stores," Sarah says with a concerned expression. "Also, this 'thing' isn't meant to be played around with," I comment, crossing my arms over my chest with a worried expression.

"Well, this one looks seriously old," Ethan comments. "I agree with Zoe, I don't think we should mess with it, guys," Sarah states. "What's the big deal? It's just a board game," Benny argues. "It's what it represents that scares me," Sarah fires back. "Oh, come on! Just one little game?" Ethan asks us. "Unless you two are scared," Ethan states with a grin. "Yeah, we're chickens. Bawk-bawk!" I respond with an annoyed expression. "Jane, Zoe, and I are gonna go play dress up. Try not to make a mess," Sarah demands. Sarah and I walk upstairs with Jane to her bedroom.

Timeskip:

Suddenly, Sarah begins to act creepy and weird. Sarah leaves Jane's bedroom and starts to go downstairs. Then, I sprint downstairs using my inhuman speed. Then, I see the three geeks and I glare at them with my arms crossed. "Why did you guys mess with that thing?!" I yell at them with frustration. "W-We forgot to say goodbye," Ethan responds with a guilty look.
