Nothing unusual happened today except being dragged by a stupid soldier who kept secrets from me since the beginning of time. Keeping secrets is okay with me but secrets with the means of life and death was unacceptable.
My classmates and I were just writing a boring essay about our summer when suddenly we heard something big fell outside. Curiosity got the best of us so we look over the window to see what it is. There was the biggest vicious animal I’d ever seen. It’s a very black large dog with it glowing red eyes and chest.
After a moment, it suddenly looked at our direction and took interest on us. Beside me, Andrei cursed. ”Does it have to be now?” What was he talking about? What’s happening? Some girls screamed in fear run towards the exit. Some hid in the cabinets in the back. What a wimp. I blinked in a second. Wait, what?
Andrei interrupted my thoughts because he held my hand real tight and started running. Then things really got out of hand. Emergency bells rang across the hallway. People scrambled to any exits they could find. Then suddenly, I felt a pang in chest. I stopped running making him stooped too and turned to me with worried eyes. “Ela? What’s wrong?”
“I-I felt something.” I replied looking around. In the corner of my eye, something went past at me, missing a few inches from my face. I managed to catch it with my eyes and by its figure, I recognized it as throwing knife. Where the heck did that came from?
“Did you see that?” I asked him.
“See what?”
“A throwing knife!”
“Come on, you need to get out of here.” He started to pull me again.
Finally, we reached outside of the school, and take a look at the commotion. People scattered everywhere. It’s almost tempting to kill them all. Huh? When did I start thinking like this?
Out of nowhere, the beast jumped in front of us. It snarled at us like it had a grudge. Then, Andrei did what I didn’t expect him to do. He fished a golden coin out of his pocket and flip it, turning into a full length sword.
The beast swiped his sharp claws at him but he deflected it with his sword. It jumped back and lunged at him so fast he didn’t have the chance to roll out of its way. He was pinned down. It let out a roar and would’ve had its final blow if I didn’t punch its face.
I let my anger go. I was continuously punching it with my bare hands. Nobody can hurt my friends. Finally, it backed away from me and whimpered. I step forward but it ran away.
“I’m not finish yet! Don’t run away, you coward!” I shouted.
I was breathing hard. Not because I was tired but I’m still full of my anger.
These people around me was so tempting. I punched one of them in the face with no reason. I started to wreck things but somebody hit me in back and my vision went black.
