We’re almost out of the room when a man appeared out of shadows. I realized his appearance quickly. “You think you will kill my precious creature that easy?”
“Just get out of our way, Marvos.”I I urged not to punch him in the face right there.
“You know him?” Genna whispered to me.
“Yeah... in my nightmares.” I answered still looking at him.
“Oh, you’re forgetting something. Elafros. I think you need this.” He pulled out a golden dagger. Even in a distance, I could feel its power. It is said that one may only kill the beast with this dagger.
“So, I’m guessing we need to –“she started.
“Oh, yes, dearie!” he answered it quickly like a kid. “Come and get it, you squirts!” His tuxedo melted into a dark metal armor.
We drew our weapons and charge at the same time. With a flick of his hand, all of us flew away from him. I quickly stand up to my feet. I look around to see if they’re okay. With him distracting us, there must be someone who can at least lead an army to protect the city. “Genna! Go and help the others outside. Protect the others!” Still in daze, she nodded and ran outside without being notice.
He summoned a replica of him. It looked like we have a one-on-one battle on our hands. I looked over Atrom. We met eyes and for a moment, I no longer see a selfish, and insensitive general, but a brave and determined man. I smiled for his sake and together, we charged to Marvos.
