With the golden dagger, I ran outside and found Teras cornering Andrei along with other survivors. I am still pretty far from them. It have its back on me. By the time one of them saw me, he called for me. It turned around to see who it is. When it saw me, it was surprised and looked at me like a pirate looking at his treasure.
The beast is now running down at me.
“Ela! Run! Ela!” Someone shouted. I think it’s Andrei.
Be brave. Atrom’s words echoed in my head. I stood firm.
“Ela!” I can see him chasing after the beast.
Follow your heart. My mind always knew where my real heart was heading. It always refused to go through that way because of being rational. Right now, it’s time to follow the way of my heart.
They’re already near. For one last time, I looked at him. I love you. As I closed my eyes, I raised the dagger and plunged it to dark heart of the beast.
“Ela!”
The beast screamed in pain and stumbled towards me. It stopped before me and started to disintegrate into ashes.
