jennie's pov

Today was such a weird day. At school, kai protected me from the falling books. That's true, at that time he does seems cool, but that doesn't mean that i like him just because of that, right?

"ahhhh!! This is a pain in my head!!" i shout.

I am now laying down on my bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, thinking about what happened today. 

"staying still like this won't help. I better go to dahyun's house to talk to her." i say as i grab my jacket and run outside of the house.

"eomma, i'm going to dahyun's house!" i shout to my mom who is at the workroom.

...

I sneak through the gap between dahyun's house and the other house to get to her window. I peeked inside, and i see dahyun laying down on her bed. I knock on the window, and it got her attention. She quickly come over to me and open the window.

"jennie? Why are you doing here this late at night?" she ask.

"i am bored. Also, i need to tell you something." i say.

so she ask me to hop in and so i did.

she went out from her room and came back with hot chocolate milk on her hands. She gave it to me and sit beside me.

"so? What do you want to tell me?" she ask.

"hm... i am not really sure with this, but i think i like.... kai." i say.

after i said that word, silence came. I am really shocked by dahyun's reaction when i told her that. I peeked at her, and i can see that she becomes stiff, and her face becomes pale. No way....

"dahyun?" my voice snap her out of it.

"uh... yes?" she say.

"dahyun... do you perhaps also...." i can't continue what i wanted to say. What if she say yes? What if...... she likes kai? Then.... can one of us gave him up?

dahyun's pov

"hm... i am not really sure with this, but i think i like.... kai."

what? Did she say.... Kai? Why? Why kai? What will happen to taehyung if he know about this? He will be really heart broken. I don't want to see him sad.

"dahyun?" suddenly jennie's voice snap me out of my panicked thoughts.

"dahyun... do you perhaps also...." 

also what? Why is her face expression like that? What weird thoughts is this girl thinking?

"jennie. I don't know what you are thinking, but don't imagine something weird." i say.

"uh.... yeah. I won't." she say with a smile. A forced smile.

wait.... she didn't think that i like kai too, did she?

"jennie i don't like-" just before i finish what i was about to say, jennie already ran towards the window.

"thank for listening to me. Bye dahyun. See ya at school." she say as she quickly ran away.

"sh*t, i think she misunderstands it."

...

In the morning at school, i saw jennie walking towards the class. As always, i greet her.

"jennie, good morning!" i say.

but she keeps on walking. Did she not hear me calling her?
