Goodbye First Love

chapter12

Dahyun's pov

Today is the day. The day when we finally go on a school trip to the Odae mountain. I am so excited. I can't even sleep.

Now is 4 AM, which means that all of the students have to gather at the school gate and find their room mates.

"Bye eomma. Tell appa i am very sorry for not coming to the family vacation." I say.

"It's fine dear. Your appa also understands. But are you sure you're gonna be fine staying at home alone? We will be gone until next Wednesday."

"I'll be fine. Don't worry eomma." I say with a reassuring smile.

"Okay, then. You better get going. Jennie and taehyung is waiting outside."

"Bye mom." I say as i kiss her in the cheek. Then i went out and greet jennie and tae who is waiting for me. Yesterday at school, jennie, tae, and me decided to go to school together. So they are now waiting for me.

"Let's go." I say.

Then the three of us went to school to gather up with the others.

....

After all the students and teacher are all gathered, we enter the bus.

There are two buses. Me, jennie, kai, and tae are all in the second bus. When we just came to school, we saw kai. But he is not in a good condition. He seems to be worrying about something.

Along the road, kai have been really quiet. He is always looking out throught the window, spacing out even though our bus is really noisy.

Tae, who sits beside kai also seems tp be worried for him.

"Kai, are you okay? You seems to be thinking about something." Tae say.

"Oh... Nothing. I'm just a bit tired, that's all." He say.

"If you have any problem, then just tell us. We are your friends. We will always be here if you need us." Jennie say.

Kai just smile weakly and say, "thanks."

The whole journey to Odae mountain has been really boring. Tae, me , and jennie have been playing tons of games, while kai just stays the same. Sitting there beside tae in silence, looking out through the window.

I might have an idea about what is bothering kai's mind. But it's just a wild guess.

Flash back.

"What is missing? I think that's all, but still.... I feel something's missing." I murmur as i was checking my stuffs for the last time before i sleep.

Tomorrow is the day we'll go to the Odae mountain. So i have to make sure that i have packed everything.

"Ah! My charger! Almost forgot about it!"

When i was about to go look for my charger, my phone ranged. I look at the caller, and guess who was calling me that late at night.

Yes. It is Katherine. Still remember her? Kai's psycho ex.

"What does she want this time?" I mumbled in annoyance.

I was planning to ignore her call, but again, when you're dealing with a psycho, ignoring her will be a bad idea. So i answer it.

"Hello?"

[Ah, dahyun~ it's been a long time.]

"Yeah. What's up?"

[Well, actually i just want to ask. Are you guys perhaps going somewhere tomorrow?]

"Hm? Why do you ask?"
