Chapter 6

Nathan's POV

"What's the surprise Joey?" I asked. She got everyone in one room to tell us about her surprise. We're all anxious to know!

"Okay, well I want to introduce you guys to someone very special" She smiled hugely.

Someone very special? Hmm..

I looked around and see Max confused. Oh..

"I'd like for you guys to meet, Hunter. My boyfriend" She brought Hunter into the room. He's not that cute compared to Max. Joey can do so much better. Why cant she see Max is right for her? Hunter looks like someone who can break her heart. I believe he rides a motorcycle because of his clothing. He's wearing a leather jacket, ripped jeans and boots. The outfit is ok, but his face isnt.

"Say Hi everybody" she said.

"Hi.." we all said but Max.

"Hey" Hunter waved.

"Ok well Hunter, this is Nathan. My best friend" We shook hands and his hand is very rough.

She introduce him, to every one of us. When it was Max's turn, he turned away.

An hour later, Hunter left because he gotta work at his Body Shop.

"What's wrong with Max?" Joey mumbled. She has NO clue! I feel so sorry for Max. They're perfect for each other. I grabbed her arm and took her outside for some privacy.

"Where did you meet Hunter?" I asked.

"When I was away in Rome." She replied.

Of course. Before she came back here, she was in Rome for some vacation or something. She was having a vacation while I was shattered during my breakup. I still can't get over her, but I need to show a brave face.

"You know why Max is acting like this?" I asked her. She shook her head. "No..."

I rolled my eyes. I'm gonna tell her because who else is gonna tell her? Not Max!

"Max has massive feelings for you! And you cant see that?" I said. To be honest I'm kind of pissed. I hate seeing my closest friends hurt!

"He does? Since when?"

Oh god, she is mental.

"For a long time Joey. He tried to tell you but he never had the guts to tell you!" I snapped.

"Sorry Nath, but I'm with Hunter. I dont see Max that way" She said. "How could you do this to Max? I know you did know a little about Max liking you! It is obvious that he does"

Joey rolled her eyes.

"Maybe! But I wasn't sure. Besides I like Hunter! You should be happy for me that I found someone now!"

I shook my head. I came closer to her and looked in her eyes.

"Why Hunter? You deserve better! Max is the one for you! Why cant you see it?!" I almost yelled.

I grabbed her arm but she pushed my hand away and backed up.

"You can't tell me who to date Nathan! Im sorry about Max but I think Hunter is the one. And if you're not happy for me then we shouldn't be friends"

That just paused everything. I cant be without Joey. I need her for me to be happy again. I need all my friends!

"Are you seriously gonna end this friendship because I dont accept Hunter?!"

"Yes Nath." and she walked to her car and got in.

I ran after her.

"Joey dont go away!" I yelled and tried to stop her from driving. She started the engine and ignored me.

"Joey, no. Don't leave! I'm not sorry about what I said about Hunter! Max is the one!"

Joey rolled down her window.

"Says the guy who said that slut was the one and look what happened!" she yelled. I can't believe she said that.

"Fuck you!" I yelled and she drove off. That bitch! I tried to help her before she gets heart broken. Hunter is bad news and I can feel it.

I got back inside the house and slapped the door shut.

"What happened?" asked Jay with Tom and Seev.

"She ended our friendship because I told her she belonged with Max!" I yelled. I'm super pissed. I can't even breathe. I wanna scream and break everything in sight. Max is one of my best buds and I want him to happy. Joey is too stupid to know that Max will make her happy.

"Calm down Nath." Siva said.

"Where's Max?" I asked.

"In his room...completely shattered into pieces"

I can imagine. I know how he feels. I been there and I'm still feeling the same.
