Chapter 4

Maddie's POV:
I woke up at 5:00 the next morning, and I got dressed for school. I put on a red flannel and some black skinny jeans, trying not to look good. Quickly brushing my hair, I put it up into a high ponytail. It was pouring rain today, so I decided to drive my porche.

When I arrived at school 10 minutes later, I went to my locker- 182. The hallways were crowded by now, and I quickly took what I needed for 1st and 2nd period out.

"Hi," a voice said near me.

Walking away, I went to my classroom for period 1. It very close to my locker, but still enough time for whoever that was to catch up.

"Hi," I say.

"Hi," he says. "I'm new here, and I don't know where my first class is."

Looking up, I sighed. "I'm new too. Just joined the school yesterday, but okay. What room number?"

"48."

The bell rang.

"That's the same class as mine. Lets go."

When we got to the classroom, everyone was looking at us walk in late.
It was embarrassing, but I walked to the back of the class and sat down. I felt more than half of the boys' eyes on me the whole lesson, and I watched as the new boy gave a slip to the teacher and sat next to me.

"Class, that is Trevor Knight. He is a new student, and I suppose you all are welcoming to him and Maddie."

Marie turned around and started flirting with Trevor, and I looked over at him. Omg. He is the guy! My neighbor!

Trevor's POV:
I looked back at the girl next to me, studying her. At least I knew her name is Maddie. She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, and I recognized her from somewhere. It finally clicked. My neighbor across the street!

I smiled at her, and she smirked back at me. The bell rang, and I chuckled quietly. I looked at my schedule. 31. Wow. I stood up, and went to classroom 31. Wow, school really was boring.

In English, my thoughts mostly were of Maddie. I imagined what her lips would feel like, and if she likes me. She really has me under her spell.
---------------------------------------------After torturous classes, it finally was lunch. Many girls had flirted with me, maybe half of the schools girl population, but not Maddie. She sat in a table with no one there doing homework, and had ignored me when I sat down next to her beautiful figure.

"Maddie," I said to her.

"Hi... Trevor?" She replies.

"Ya, it's me."

She puts her papers in her binder and instantly slides her chair slightly away. "I'm sorry I got to go."

"Wait!" I say after her.

I was quickly surrounded by many girls, and they instantly started flirting and touching me everywhere. I snorted in disgust and shove them off, running to keep up with Maddie.

Running outside in the pouring rain, I ran up to Maddie's fleeing figure. She gasped in surprise as I touched her, spinning around her eyes wide in terror when I stared into them. Her expression quickly turned blank, and the rain suddenly... started to touch her? I was horrified.

"Why were you completely dry then soaking?" I whispered.

She just couldn't be a vampire! That was impossible, unless she was a werewolf... No, that's not possible because I would smell the werewolves horrible scent.

"I ran into the rain, and it didn't hit me," she said, quickly bringing me back into the real world.

Of course she couldn't be a vampire, there is only one in the whole world for fuck's sake! I sighed in relief.

"Why are you suddenly soaking wet then?" I asked her, the curiosity evident in my voice.

"You made me stop walking, and the rain hit me before I could get to my car."

"Oh... Sorry."

"It's fine. I'll see you tomorrow..."

"Yeah. Okay," I say, sounding like a complete idiot.

When I'm finally home, I find Brandon sitting on the couch laughing on the phone.

"Woah. Bro, don't tell me you got us all of that tech stuff already!" I said.

"It's fine Trevor. Here take this phone," he says, tossing this skinny rectangular thing to me. "It's called a phone. An iPhone 5s to be exact. I saw that girl you were stalking across the street have one."

"I was not stalking her!" I say, a little too loud.

"Ya right," he says. "Have fun."

Brandon hands me a bag full of random stuff. I look at the bag with an apple on it, and he just simply answers,
"I got a job there today."

I am left staring open-mouthed after him, and then go to my room. Pulling everything out of the bag, I find a computer, iPad, and instruction packet for all of my devices. Pushing the button on my iPad and phone, I find that they are already set up. I do everything I will need to do- make a phone number, social media accounts, and yell at Brandon my phone number so he can add me. My thoughts are suddenly filled of Maddie, and I feel exhausted for the first time ever, falling asleep on my bed that Brandon insisted me to get.
