Maddie's POV:
I sit in my room, thinking over the encounter with my new neighbor. I had just been on my skateboard going back home after school, and I had felt someone's eyes on me. Those eyes had sacred me so much.

"Don't fall for it," I said to myself. "He's only a teenage boy. He will make you lose your confidence."

Sighing loudly, I started to take my things out from their boxes. There were pictures, books, furniture, clothes, and some other random things, but I noticed something that I had never known I had. Makeup.

As an immortal, you were already beautiful and didn't need makeup to look good. You could have nearly died, and still look like an angel.

When I finished unpacking and put everything in their proper places, I looked over at the clock. 9:00. I didn't need sleep, but I figured that doing things a human does would help me act more like one.

Taking out my backpack, I looked in my laptop on the student page to see what homework I had. 15 minutes after that, I was done with today's homework- a three page essay, math problems from the book, and a worksheet for social studies.

Trevor's POV:
I looked out of my bedroom window. I had just finished unpacking, looking out of my window every now and then at the house across the street. I didn't want to sound like a freaking teenage boy, but I really wanted to get to know that girl better.

Ever since I saw her, I was in love with her. Even though I knew this would be the worst mistake ever made in history, it feels like I need her as much as humans need air to breathe. After my mom's mistake with dad, I have felt like it would be impossible to ever fall in love. A human though? I'm an idiot.

Dad and mom had Brandon, then me. Brandon was a year older than me, him at 20 and me at 19. Unfortunately, that meant I would be attending high school alone. Bummer.

Anyways, my dad had left my mom after they had me for 13 years, and also right after he had turned her into a vampire. Vampires can't have children, only a human and a vampire can. Some are born half vamp, and some are born full, but Brandon and I were lucky to both be full. When my dad left after my thirteenth birthday, mom left us literally with suicide.

I can remember the exact words she had said to me before stabbing her heart with the knife.

"It's your fault he left, and your fault I will die," she had said.

I had cried for four days after she died, knowing her last words were true, taking a while to become normal again. That was 728 years ago, and now I finally decide to move on. Man, I sound like a idiot.

Suddenly, I hear the sound of someone singing and playing guitar coming from the girl's house. I laughed after her light hearted mood, and went downstairs to talk to Brandon.
