Chapter 25 || Reunion

__Dipper's POV__

Life in Gravity Falls was back to normal. People have been used to the creatures and monsters, even some making arrangements for peace and stuff like that. Stan has regained his memory back. The Northwests has gone broke , but recently it seems Pacifica doesn't care , she was able to keep at least one peacock. She named it Pears. Mcgucket has moved into the mansion and became successful with his inventions.

Between all that I try to keep a smile on my face, but some know I miss Chara . Frisk also like me , has been crying every night. She couldn't save her friend. 

After-tomorrow will be me and Mabel's birthday , and the day we leave. I decided to take a walk and find the buttercup patch.

I found it , and I wasn't the only one who was there. Flowey too. He was staring at the void. I saw some of Chara's valuables around him. I sighed and walked to him. I sat down and tried to make a conversation.

"Hey Flowey."

"..."

"So , um , any sign of your friends coming over?"

"Nope."

He uses his roots and grabs Chara's necklace and ties it around his stem.

"I couldn't protect her..."

"How did it happen?"I asked him.

He looks at me angrily , but then his expression turns softer. 

"Bill pulled her soul out. Her body disappeared , so I grabbed all the things she had before it was too late. She last thing she did was using her determination she had left to bring the souls ."

I grab my knees and pull them close to my face, covering it. I started to cry. Cried as much as I wanted. Flowey pats me on the foot.

"You know what. You two were great together. It was my mistake of hating you. I guess I was jealous." He admits. I smile and pets his head. He didn't react , but then started to cry. 

I asked him if he wanted to go in the shack. He accepted and I brought him in, along with his sister's belongings. When I went into the room , no one was there. I place his flowerpot on the night table and Chara's stuff on my bed. I sit in the bed and start checking out her stuff. Knife, necklace, little cardboard box...

Sweater.

I grabbed it and started to  smell her scent. Flowers and dirt. The flowers smelled like buttercups , but also lavender, roses , tulips...

"When we were young we played with the flowers for god knows how many times. The smell of it eventually stayed on her for eternity. "Flowey giggled. I look at him then the sweater. I start to laugh too.

~Timeskip~

It was dinnertime. I went downstairs with Flowey. Upon seeing him , Frisk got excited and hugged him , happy to see him again ( I mean , he was gone for at least 5 or 6 chapters and was briefly mentioned) . 

We had a fun time , we were suggesting ideas for the birthday party. Flowey and Soos were collaborating with their ideas at the table.

"Fog machine!"

"Disco ball!"

"Dance floor!"

"Glow in the dark clothes!"

"And glow sticks!"

"Pool full of punch!"

"Karaoke !"Mabel exclaimed, interrupting the two.
