Chapter 3 || A new mystery for the Mystery Twins!

__Dipper's POV__

"Oh Dipper! "

I close the book of Journal 3 and went downstairs and see Mabel holding the hand of a boy with eyes closed, a striped t-shirt and pants.

"Mabel, don't tel me that's your new boyfriend.."I sigh. 

"Oh no Dipper! This is Frisk! she's my new bestie!"

Oh.

I just misgender a girl. 

How embarrassing.

Frisk takes a paper that was on a shelf and started to write on it with Mabel's pencil.

It is nice to meet you. I am Frisk, you know already. Me and Mabel met when she woke me up as I was sleeping in a patch of buttercups, don't tell me, I know they're poisonous.

As she continued to write, I see the faded shape of a girl. I tried to see correctly, and it was the ghost from this morning. i suddenly turned pale.

"G-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-GHOST!" I screamed and ran back up to my room.

"Ugh not again." I hear Mabel say to Frisk.

I hid under the blanket and hear a creaking sound. I peered out and saw Mabel and Frisk staring at me, except for Frisk, I think she's like blind or something. 

"Dipper saw a ghost floating around this morning. Have you seen it? I could've , but I was knitting a new sweater in the living room when it happened."

"It was really a ghost!" I shout.

"I believe you bro."Mabel pats me on the head. "Me and Dipper have experienced some encounters lately, he got used to it, but never saw a ghost, which could explain his sudden shock." 

I face palmed at what Mabel said. She told Frisk our secret! But Frisk seemed calm, she didn't seem like she was going to mock us, in fact , she still had the paper with her and wrote.

I believe you, do not worry. 

 I was still in the blanket. "Did you see the ghost Frisk?" She shook her head. 

I was there when you shouted this morning, but I haven't seen anything.

" Omigosh! Dipper! this could be our next mystery! We can find out who's this ghost!" Mabel exclaimed.

I started to get out of my blanket and now I was face to face with Mabel .

"Sure! Frisk would you like to join us?" Frisk started to sweat a bit, I think she was scared about something. Was it the fact that she was going to see an actual ghost? Or is it because there's a secret we don't know? We just met her so it might be possible.

Can I go to the toilet? I need to rinse my face from this sweat...

I pointed her to the bathroom. She went there and a few minutes later she came back, less scared and her face more fresh.

I packed my stuff and me , Mabel , and Frisk were on our way.

__Frisk's POV__ ( in the bathroom) 

As I locked the door, I rinsed my face from the sweat and called silently.

"Chara?"

"Yeah Frisk? "Chara came in, she was as scared as me. She must've heard.

"These people know about monsters and had experience Frisk. I'm scared. The boy might invent a machine to track ghosts. What if they learn our secret? What if I get captured and hurt me? "

I grabbed her by her collar.

"I doubt this guy can make a machine Chara. Just, stay away from me as possible. Hide, there's no use to turn into your human form. Dipper will get even more suspicious. If they do, do a jump scare and attack us. Don't hurt anyone, but at least scare the life outta them."

"Frisk , that is the worst plan ever, I heard much better ones back in the underground."

Chara then disappears, leaving me and my wet face.

"Oh and Chara?"

"Yes?" her voice wandered the room.

"If our plan doesn't prevail...RESET."

I heard a little sound of shock coming from her. I ignored and exited the bathroom. I have never seen Chara this nervous. I felt a little bit better of our plan but felt bad at the way I talked to Chara. I hope she understands that I was stressed and panicked.

I went back up and went to see Dipper and Mabel , chatting. As I came in, they got ready and we left the Mystery Shack.
