Chapter 26 || We did it!

__Gaster's POV__

We did it.

Our machine to access the girls was complete.

Everyone was so happy , they worked hard , even Sans. I was proud of them. We were celebrating with drinks and noodles. But as we were having fun, Alphys questioned:

"Which dimension is Frisk in?"

The party stopped everyone looked at me.

"I don't know, there was nothing indicating where they were when we arrived."

Toriel covered her mouth in shock. Sans' pupils were gone, Papyrus was sad, Undyne was sizzling of anger, Alphys was worried , and Asgore was looking at the floor. Then all of a sudden he looked at me with hope.

"Toriel , does Frisk have her phone with her?"

Toriel looks at him confused then she was realized what he meant.

"My, yes, yes she does!" 

Hope and excitement returned to the lab, everyone was cheering , and I was relieved, Toriel got her phone and called. We surrounded her and stayed silent.

"Mom?"

"My child!"

We were rejoicing in the background.

"Where are you sweetie? By that which world are you in? We're coming!"

"I'm in Gravity Falls!"

"Thank you child , the information was very helpful."

"Uh, mom , I'll be honest with you, there's no only me... there's Flowey and-"

"That flower? Did he harm you?" Toriel asks worriedly.

"No no , mom , you don't get it, he didn't harm me...in fact...ugh...how am I supposed to say this...uh..."

We were interrupted by Chara's voice . I gulped.

"Asriel! Don't eat the cake!" I hear her shout.

"Asriel is with you?!" Toriel shouted. I was relieved but also weirded out on that Toriel couldn't recognize Chara's voice.

"That's the point mom , Asriel IS Flowey."

There was silence in the room.

"His dust remained on a flower that Alphys injected determination in. She didn't know , please don't blame her." 

Toriel looks at Alphys. She holds onto the phone and hugs Alphys tightly.

"I forgive you Alphys. And look on the bright side, you revived my son."

Alphys smiles and cries a bit.

"Does that mean we could get back together Tori? "Asgore asked.

"I'll think about it." Toriel coldly replies.She returns on the phone conversation.

"Frisk , why is there talk about cake?"

"We met friends there, and their birthday is tomorrow they leave the town of Gravity Falls the same day. "

"Then I suppose we come tomorrow, I would love to meet them."

"Oh and mom one more thing..."

"Yes?"

"Asriel isn't the only o-"

The phone screen went black with a battery logo, it says: 

'FRISK HAS ENDED THE CALL DUE TO BATTERY LOSS. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER'

"I wonder what the last part was about." Toriel says.

"We'll just have to see and wait. Although I do have my own idea...." Sans said , his pupil were gone.

"Oh well! At least we know where they are." Toriel responds.

"Okay then everyone! Tomorrow we go to Gravity Falls!" I announced. Everyone cheered.

Sans pulled to the other side of the room.

"Hey dad."

"Yes Sans?"

Sans' pupils return.

"Is the other one, you-know-who?"

"Chara?"I ask. Sans covers my mouth.

"Yeah." He puts it away. He looks at the ground , hands in his pockets.

"She is. But , please don't hurt her...she didn't cause the genocide "

"Then who did?"

"I was there, I saw everything. Frisk did. She killed in the Ruins , Snowdin and Waterfall. But she realized how corrupted she was getting. HATE. It was corrupting her."

"The goddess of destruction? I thought she was just a myth." Sans exclaimed.

"Believe me she isn't ."

"Then why when I was fighting Frisk , Chara came instead?"

"Because Chara disliked Frisk's actions. That dislike and sadness caught HATE's attention. She corrupted her instead when they were going to Hotland. Frisk couldn't do anything, and Chara took control. Frisk started the genocide run , so Chara finished it. At the end, Chara attempted to  murder Frisk as punishment of their actions. But Frisk , however  gave mercy and lend her half of her soul . Chara has been stable ever since."

Sans nod his head.

"There's nothing you can do when the goddess is using you. I completely understand."

We both returned to the celebration after that.
