Chapter 16

Gray's p.o.v

When we finally arrived my parents house,i woke Ana up after i had taken our bags out of the car.when she finally woke up,she asked me where we were with confusion written all over her face.When I told her we were at my parents place,the look on her face was priceless.Using the mirror in the car she quickly arrange her hair and then stepped out of the car, straightening her gown.After telling her to calm down for the hundredth time,we finally carried out luggage in.At the door I rang the bell and unsurprisingly Sevennah was the one who opened the door for us. The hug she gave Ana was bone crushing which made me smile because I could see that the tension Ana was feeling had reduced.After The hug Sevennah took Ana's bag and our trio went to the kitchen where my mum was.The aroma of delicious food welcomed our nostrils.As my mum saw us she first gave Ana a very welcoming hug with a wide smile on her face and then messed my hair and pinched my nosed which made Ana laugh.
My mum sent us to our room so that we could fresh up and get back to the dinning for our meal.My sister attempted following us but my mother called her back to the kitchen to assist in setting up the table, which made her grumble.

In our room,Ana broke the silence as we were arranging our stuff
"Gosh,Gray your mum is so welcoming and sweet.I pray the rest of your family behaves similarly towards me"

That made me smile because I knew she was getting comfortable.

"Was until you meet my grandmother"I told her, smiling.

She returned my smile and went to have her bath while I decided to round off with the packing.By 6pm we had  both freshen up and we're prepared for supper so we both went down to the dinning where we were welcomed by the sight of my amazing family:mum,dad, grandma and sevennah.

******************************Ana's p.o.v

As Gray and I went down stairs,we could get voices chatting and laughing.It happened that when we arrived his father had taken his grandmother for a walk and now they were back.

We arrived the dinning and greeted everyone at the table.His grandmother pulled my cheeks and gave me a kiss on my forehead while his father gave me a hug which made me relax.

Gray moved over and gave his grandma a kiss on the cheek and his father a hug after which we took our seats at the table. The quantity of food Gray's mother cooked could feed an Amy.After a short prayer,we all set out to eat.
Gray's mother had made tuna salad,sushi,meat sausage and some meatballs.My boyfriend being the sweetheart he was decided to serve me first before serving himself.
Although it is bad table manners, while we were eating,we also had small conversations.

"So my dear how have you been doing?"asked grandma Maya...she asked me to call her that.

"Just a little stress from school but apart from that I have been doing great"I replied

"How are your parents dear?"Gray's mum asked.
My heart stopped a bit.Gray knew that wasn't a topic of discussion so he looked at me with sad eyes and held my hand under the table to give me support.i looked at him and gave a sad smile.Its like no one noticed my hesitation to answer the questions.

"They are dead.i only have my grandparents and they are fine"I answered.
Gray's mum dropped her spoon and used both of her hands to cover her mouth.

"Oh my god.i am sorry my dear I didn't mean to bring back sad memories"she said looking really bad.

"It's ok.it has been a long time already.i was very young when it happen so it's fine now"I said giving her a reassuring smile.she smiled back and woke up from where she sat and came up to me with a hug

"Poor child.dont bother you have me now as a mother"she said as she held my face in her soft hands.

"Thank you"I said honestly

"Your welcome honey"she said and then went back to her seat.

"So,Shelliana what do you study in the university?"Gray's father asked

"Law"I said with ease.

"Very good"

"We have a whole lot of catch up to do Tomorrow so prepare yourself"sevennah said grinning at me.

"Sure"I said as my smile matched hers.
After that we continued our meal in silence.When we were done eating Sevennah and I cleared the table and then went to the sitting room to join the others for a movie.The movie was"jumping the broom"
After the movie we bid each other goodnight and went to our separate rooms.
In our room I changed to a short black night gown and tired my hair up while Gray wore a knee length pyjama trousers and a pale blue t-shirt.

"I am sorry for earlier"Gray said to me when we were in bed.

"Its fine... seriously"I added so he could believe me.

"So how do you find my family"he asked

"Lovely"I said without any waste of time.thinking about it right now I feel stupid for being tensed before.
"Great"he said giving me a smile which I returned.
We stayed in comfortable silence.
After about fifteen minutes he finally spoke.

"Goodnight my love"

"sweetdreams "I replied already feeling drowsy.Not up to 5minutes later I fell asleep with my head on Gray's broadchest and our legs entangled with a single thought in mind which is...

To stay with Gray untill when he wants me no more.
