Abigail's POV

I couldn't sleep. All I could think about was that bloody piece of paper Bones found in AJ's cell. Not being able to sit anymore I pushed off my bed and paced my cell thinking of all the terrible things I was about to do to that son of a....

"Hey!! Chief!" I looked over to see Bones wide awake.

"What?!" I whisper yelled. That came off harsher than I had meant for it to.

"Try and calm down." He began.

"Calm down?! How can I calm down after what that slimy good for nothing snake had in his cell?!!!!"

"He'll get what's coming to him." Wait hold up.

I stopped pacing. "What do you mean?"

He laughed which just made me more confused. "Well he's already in prison. Plus he's here with you and I'm pretty sure as soon as these doors open," he laughed tapping his cell door, "you're going to show him just how sharp those claws of yours are." I chuckled.

"He's going to find out that this kitten isn't so innocent." We both started to chuckle.

"Warden will you be quiet?" Laughed/yelled AJ.

"Shhhh!!! Shut up City Boy!! People are sleeping!" I whispered/yelled. The few people who were awake began to chuckle.

"Hypocrite....." He mumbled.

"What was that? Say it to my face you limp noodle!" I chuckled.

I heard AJ let out a snort. I smiled. Looks like the City Boy has a sense of humor.

Wait, did he just cause me to smile?? My eyes widened and my smile dropped. I walked over to the small table in the corner, picked up the folded piece of paper and studied it.

Do I know him??
----------------------------------------------

"Wake up call!!" yelled Blain. I laughed. That's easy considering I didn't sleep.

As the doors opened, I stuffed the stolen piece of paper up into the back of my sports bra incase of a surprise inspection.

Don't judge, okay! You never know in this place.

When the cell doors were finally open, we made our way to the dining hall. Bones was behind me, followed by Duke and Gold. AJ was a few people in front of me. The whole time we walked I shot daggers into the back of his head.

He finally turned around when we were outside the cafeteria. His eyes widened as he met my firery gaze.

I just smirked before mouthing, "Watch your back, City Boy." His eyes widened.

"Stewart!! Turn around!!" I was about to say something when I remembered AJ's last name was Stewart. At least that's what he's been telling everyone. He quickly turned around but not before giving me a shy nervous smile. I scoffed in response.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Bones laughing. "Calm down Chief. We can move in once breakfast is over."

"Wait, what? What are we moving in on?" Asked Gold from the very back. All three of us turned around to give him a questioning look.

"Gold, ya dip. Keep up bro!" Whispered Duke as we passed a guard.

"What's going on here?!" Yelled a guard as he stepped up to get in my face. I just smiled.

"Just talking about politics, sir." He looked at me with a questioning look but shrugged it off.

"Whatever. Keep moving." He sneered. I laughed before walking on.

The entire time during breakfast, I couldn't look away from AJ. And he noticed. I must have been bouncing my leg because suddenly I felt a large hand on my knee.

"Chief, you gotta stop! You're bouncing is driving me insane!" Duke groaned.

I laughed nervously before calming down.

"You alright, boss?" Gold asked hesitantly.

"Yep." I said through gritted teeth. "Just peachy."

Bones laughed. "Don't worry Chief. We got your back. We'll help you."

"Trust me. I won't need it."
----------------------------------------------
Breakfast was finally over. That means it was free time. The boys grinned as we stood up to throw away our trash.

"Let's go," I said.

"Hold your horses Princess!" A guard yelled.

Ugh I hate new guards.

"You wanna say that to my face?" Shoot did I say that out loud?

"You better respect me, missy."

I groaned out loud this time. "Don't you people every learn I have a problem with authority?"

Suddenly, my cheek stung. He did not just slap me!!

I heard gasp as I straightened up. I gave him the deepest glare I could muster. "Don't. Touch. Me."

He did the one thing no one had the guts to go. He laughed. "You got a lot of balls to laugh at Chief here." Sneered Bones.

"Chief?" He chuckled. "The last time I checked the Chief wasn't a a punk good for nothing slut."

"Oh so the Chief isn't your daughter?"

This time it wasn't a slap. It was a punch. On impact, my whole body flew against the wall. I slide down the wall. Suddenly a boot made contact with my ribs, knee, hand, and head.

"Markoutski!!! What the hell do you think you are doing?!" Blain practically ran over. "You two!" He pointed at Bones and I couldn't see who else he pointed to. "Get Stewart to the infirmary."

They both nodded before bending down to help me up. When I was finally off the ground, Blain walked over to check on me. I tried to walk away from them but Blain stopped me. "Guys, I'm fine." I mumbled.

"No you aren't, Chief."

"Abigail, I think you have a concussion." Blain said gently touching my head, I winced as his finger brushed a forming bruise and cut. Wow I feel like a wimp.

"You're not a wimp, Abigail. You hit your head after he punched you," said Blain looking at the guard. Wait I said that out loud? "And you!" He turned his attention back to the new guard. He got right into his face. "You don't touch her! I know she is a prisoner but she is also a girl and unless you want to be here in a green shirt for rape- don't touch her!! Do you understand me?"

"But sir......" The guard started.

"Do you understand me?! I know you're new here. I don't care. Do you understand me?!!"

The guard nodded, looking like a little boy who just got caught with his hands in the cookie jar. I was escorted up to the infirmary before I could find out what happened next.

"Bones?"

"Yeah Chief?"

"Where's Duke and Gold?"

"Don't worry. They're fine. They are back in the yard."

"I thought Duke with us?" I turned towards the other person helping me. "Who are you??"

"Dang that guard hit her hard. And I thought she was this big tough chick," someone laughed.

"Hey!" I whined.

"Ow!" I chuckled. Bones must have hit whoever was there.

"She is!! If the guard would've hit you, you would be dead right about now!" I giggled at Bones' comment.

He mumbled something but my head was pounding too hard to register what he was saying and the room began to spin.

Suddenly, everything went dark.
