"What the hell was that?" Moira demanded. She was answered by a purple laser piercing the roof of the plane.

"Kurt! Everyone grab hold of Nightcrawler!" Jean shouted.

"I've never done it with this many people!" he responded, panicked.

"Get us out of here," she demanded firmly.

I grasped his arm tightly. Angel jumped into the plane, and Laser-Girl stood outside on the roof. Jean made the plane tilt, throwing Angel into the back of the plane, while Kurt concentrated.

"Kurt, hurry!"

After several tries, he successfully teleported us all safely into a random building just as Angel was charging towards us. We watched as the plane crashed into the ground, accompanied by a large explosion. I was disappointed I didn't get to kill Angel, but knowing he was dead made me feel better anyway. Did Laser-Girl die too?

Kurt was lying on the floor, unconscious, obviously drained of all his energy. He performed a very difficult task to save us.

"Get out..." mumbled the bald man. "Get out! GET OUT!" He panicked as he woke up.

"Professor it's okay, you're with us!" Jean said as she tried to calm him down. "It's okay!" He opened his eyes and grunted. He was silent for a while until he looked to Jean significantly.

Professor wants me to put you out for the time being. You might not feel the pain, but you must be very uncomfortable. Do you consent?

I thought for a moment. I was quite uncomfortable indeed, but I didn't want to be unconscious in a room full of strangers. Maybe they just wanted to kill me. Though I couldn't put up much of a fight even in my current state... I felt so vulnerable and petty. And I didn't like the term 'put out'. Then again, Jean asked for permission...

Okay, I thought to her. I couldn't do anything anyways.

She smiled lightly before placing her hands on the sides of my head. In a second, everything went black.

I woke up slowly to the sound of birds singing and many people talking. I was sitting in a wheelchair, but the back of it was cut out to accommodate my wings. How thoughtful.

Jean was kneeling in front of me, smiling brightly. I realized we were on the outskirts of a forest, beside a large clearing. Further away in the clearing, many people were standing and looking at what looked to be the very burnt remains of a building.

"I'll tell you everything about the battle against Apocalypse later, but right now we're about to rebuild the school! I didn't want to wake you in a large crowd, so I brought you here," she explained. She was wise not to rouse me surrounded by unknown people.

"Rebuild?" I asked.

She told me hurriedly about how the school exploded. She and Erik, the magnet guy, would quickly rebuild it with their combined powers. All they were waiting for was Jean.

She pushed me into the crowd, made sure I was okay and jogged to the front of the school. I received more than a few curious glances, but everyone was quickly mesmerized by Jean and Erik's work. I guessed they didn't see huge pieces of construction materials float and rebuild an entire building every day.

I felt a presence beside me. Choosing to ignore it, I kept watching.

"You staying?" Peter questioned.

I shrugged, still not looking at him. I didn't want to have this conversation right now, especially not with him.

"'Kay. So, what's your problem?"
