Chapter 49

The next morning I helped Niklaus to put Elijah's coven and Elijah who is in there into his study. Niklaus left me with Elijah to inform Freya and Hayley that Kol and Rebekah just landed and that they will be here any minute from now. I took Elijah's hand which felt cold and how should I describe it empty. Everyone in the compound is in high alert and really tense, Freya worked the whole night trying to figure out how to get Elijah back, Niklaus was just awake in his study and Hayley was with Hope, but I'm sure she wasn't sleeping like everyone in the house including me. I felt useless. I can't lose another brother. Niklaus entered his study and I left his study to check on Freya, „Do you need coffee something to eat, sister?" I asked her.

„No, thank you." She said and just like that I left the room when I heard a car stopping in front of the compound. I went down the stairs seeing Rebekah and Kol entering the compound I went up to them and hugged Rebekah saying, „Nik is in his study." She gave me a smile when we pull apart and went up the stairs when I went up to Kol and hugged him when he asked, „Are the twins with you?" I shook my head when he said, „Good, it's way too dangerous." We also went up the stairs when I asked, „Is it weird for you to be back?" but he didn't answer and went straight into Niklaus study saying, „Alright! Chitchat's over. Can we murder that wretched bitch." Rebekah and Niklaus looked at Kol at the same time when Nik smirked and told them, „Well, first things first. We need to destroy the weapons that give our enemy their advantage. Now, one scratch from the rosebush is lethal to us. Freya has tracked down the eight that remain, including the main plant. Here, in the Ninth Ward."

„Fine, so we burn them all and then we murder that wretched bitch." Rebekah said when Kol nodded and said, „Lethal thorns, resurrected witches ... what could possibly go wrong?"

„Please don't jinx it." I said making everyone in the room smile, gosh how I missed them.

We drove to an abandoned house where some people were saying a spell over and over again when Rebekah vampire speeded in and pulled a heart out of one of the witches said, „Can I interest anyone in a swift and painless death?"

„Oh, come now, Beks. Do we have to be so swift?" Kol said.

„Sadly. Lucky for you , we're in a rush." Niklaus vampires in and while capturing a woman.

„Or I can talk to my siblings to leave you alone when you just hand over what we need, since overall I am the nicest one." I said went next to Kol and turned my head saying, „Oh well too late." and placed a finger between my lips. Niklaus broke the neck of the woman while Kol took a man and compelled him. He was sitting on a chair while Rebekah but wood into a fireplace and said, „Like stealing candy from babies." Kol stood a chair and sat down in front of the hollow's follower and said, „Yes, but I'm not finished with this one."

„Well, hurry up. We still have more ground to cover." Niklaus said when he came back from putting the body away. Rebekah stood up and asked, „What is the point of interrogation? We know their motives. New Orleans witches despise our family. They always have."

„Because you are beasts. Evil atrocities against Nature. Your kind has ruined this city." The witch said when I rolled my eyes and said, „Yeah, we know."

„Yes. I'm the worst of the worst. So tell me, is your master going to save you from me?" Kol asked when the witch laughed and said, „Go ahead, kill me. My life ends for a greater cause than you can ever fathom. The Hollow has risen. Nothing can stop her. Not you, not even the Ancestors, despite what they might claim." Kol stood up and turned to Niklaus and then me asking, „The Ancestors?" when Niklaus took one of the wood on the floor and threw it into his heart saying, „I thought he'd never shut up." when Kol asked him, „Is it true? Are the Ancestors back? Why didn't you tell me? I could have seen her." and vampire speeded towards him pushing him against the wall.
