Chapter 10

We drove almost the whole day, because we were stopping to changed Hope's diaper or to get food when we finally arrived at a little diner it was nearly dark outside.

 „Stay in the car, I'll call if you can come in." She then said and went out of the car and took Hope. I watched her entering the diner and seeing a man standing up. She smiles at him. He wore a suit and from his face and the smile he gave Rebekah and Hope, I immediately recognized him, it was Elijah. When she made it to the booth she sets Hope's car seat on the table and hugged Elijah. Elijah then picked up Hope and hold her, I listened to their conversations when Elijah said, „Look at you, so big, so perfect."

Rebekah smiled at him when he said, „I can't imagine the joy of spending every day with her it's-" when Rebekah cut him off and said, „Quit lovely. It feels so human."

„Yes ... come on I would argue the most human experiences." Elijah said and Rebekah sighed and said, „I know I have to give her back to Hayley when the time is right. But, she's made me realize how much I want that child of my own ... that I know I can't have."

Elijah kept rocking Hope in his arms and smiling from one ear to the other when he said, „It's a lovely dream. Unfortunately, it's one that's just beyond our reach, considering the curse of our existence." Curse? What curse, that we are vampires?

There was a short pause between them when Elijah told Rebekah, „Yes, mother tortured me for days with memories I thought I'd buried long ago. Then she made an offer ... to make us all mortal again." Rebekah narrowed her brows and looked at him stunned, confused when he explained further what he means saying, „You see, sister, mother believes that by placing us in new bodies, we can then reclaim some kind of ... purity." Purity? I don't want my body to change, how do people recognize me ... I don't look like this ...

„We can begin families of our own again. And, I have to confess, Rebekah ... this invitation, however cruel in delivery, had a certain ... appeal." He then said.

Rebekah then took his free hand and smiled to Elijah and then Hope when Elijah tells her that she doesn't have to be worried and that they were safe. She then stood up and said, „Looks like this little one needs her diaper changed, grabbing Hope's blanket and Hope. When I suddenly heard Rebekah's voice saying, „Come to the back of the diner and take Hope, now."

I exited the car and went with vampire speed behind the diner and took Hope. She then put a finger on her lips and I nodded. „Wait here." She then said and went back saying, „I forget to the wipes and then well, she is all sorted and ready for an adventure." I heard Elijah standing up and saying, „It's difficult to believe we were this innocent once." and takes a deep breath.

„We mustn't let the world ever hurt her." He told her when Rebekah said, „You're right. We mustn't." When I suddenly heard a neck snap and someone falling to the floor. I figured that we can enter the dinner again and went up to Rebekah seeing Elijah on the ground.

„What happened?" I asked her when she said, „Bring Hope in the car and I take Elijah we need to go. In the car Rebekah took Elijah's phone while I was driving. She called Niklaus and put him on speaker, „Where have you been?" Nik picked up the phone and answered it annoyed.

„Nik, it's me. Something's wrong? Elijah slaughtered a dozen people, whose only sin was their terrible taste in food. I mean, when have you known him to kill when he could otherwise compel? It's the kind of act that will draw our mother's attention." She then said when I hear Klaus sigh in horror before he said, „Her torture must have affected him more deeply than I'd realized. Where is he now?"

„I broke his neck to keep her safe, but I have no clue what to do next." She then said when Klaus asked her, „Do you recall where we dined the Christmas after we fled Mikael?"

Rebekah looked at me confused and I shrugged the she then remembered and answered, „Of course-" when Nik interrupted her and said, „Go there. Now." and hung up the phone. She then said, „Pull over I'm driving." I nodded and pulled over. We then changed position and Rebekah drove us. Hours past and I suddenly saw a sign with Arkansas when Elijah slowly wakes up.

„My head, what happened?" He asked looking at Rebekah when he turned to me. His eyes widen like he couldn't believe what he is seeing. „Is this mother, doing a spell on me." He said out loud when Rebekah shook her head and said, „No, Elijah. It's her ... all these centuries long she was alive."

„Blair." He slowly said when a tear rolled down my cheek when I said, „Hi brother." giving him a weak smile. Rebekah and I told him my story from mother wanting me to run away to the Christmas party in New Orleans to how Rebekah and I met.

„I can't believe it, after centuries. Blair you must felt-" when I interrupted him saying, „Alone, hopeless, sad. Yes, Elijah I did."

„So Ansel is your father." Elijah said when Rebekah then said, „Right we never really depend that subject."

„Well, like I said Ansel is my real father and when Niklaus broke his curse he broke mine too. I'm a hybrid now. Can I ask a question." I said when both of them nodded.

„What happened, why is mother so angry why can't she just-just accept us for who we are. Sorry I listened to you guys conversation." I said when Elijah and Rebekah told us about Mother, her sister, the witches and our brother Kol and Finn who were alive and in New Orleans wanting to kill Hope. When we arrived at the safe house it was day again and I said, „I will take care of Hope while you guys wait for Nik?"

„Yes, please when Nik is here I will call you out." I then took Hope out of the car and the diaper bag. I then went into the house and went into the master bedroom. I put Hope down on the bed and then changed her diaper.

„I think it is time for a little outfit change." I then said and played with her hands. I took her diaper bag from the floor and put it on the bed. I then changed into a dress with little flowers. An hour later I heard a car pulling up when I heard a woman running towards the house saying, „Where is she." I looked outside seeing Niklaus going towards the house.

„You can come." Rebekah then said when Hayley asked, „What?"

„Your mama is here little one. I carried her down the stair and outside when Niklaus looked at Rebekah then to Elijah then back to me. Like Elijah, he couldn't believe what he was looking at but his eyes turned into a different expression then Elijah he wasn't confused he was certain about something when said, „Hayley take Hope." I turned to Rebekah when I gave Hayley Hope and suddenly Nik took me on my neck when Rebekah exclaimed, „Nik let her go. She is our sister. Let her explain herself to you."

„You believe her?" Nik asked.

„Yes." Elijah and Rebekah said when he let go of me and I caught up for air. Rebekah then went up to me and helped me up while Niklaus went into the house. Rebekah and I followed him into the dining room watching him pour wine into a glass. He then sat down and I sat down in front of him, Rebekah then gave me a smile and left us.

„Are you going to listen or did you already made up your mind Niklaus?" I asked him. He took a sip of his wine when I closed my eyes and said while opening them, „Look into my eyes, Niklaus."

„That's impossible." Niklaus said and put his wine glass down when I said, „Then listen to this."

When I was finished telling Niklaus about who I am, he shook his head because he couldn't believe what I told him. He stood up and went the room up and down. „You really think Mother relieved me? If she did this I wouldn't look like this, I would have another body like Kol and Finn."

„I know, I know." He said and sat down on the chair which was next to me. He took my hands which were on the table and squeezed them, „You are my sister, we share the same blood." A tears rolled down my cheek and I put my head on our hands when I told him, „You don't know how much this mean to me." I looked at him when he then gives me a hug.

„You did good Nik, with Hope. I'm ready to do everything for her." I said and he thank me with a smile. „You should say hi to your baby girl." I then said when he nodded and we both went out. Niklaus went up to Hayley when Rebekah came up to me and said, „You okay?"

„I'm happy." I said.
