Chapter 56

I just got dropped into my bedroom in the compound, it was dark and it thundered. I went towards a window and looked outside it lightened and thundered but no rain. I went towards the stairs seeing Kol's but naked in front of me saying, „Bloody hell. My least favorite recurring nightmare." when I said, „Please go get dress." while going down the stairs into the abattoir. Kol left the room and Rebekah went up to me and hugged me when I asked, „What is this?"

„Chambre de chasse." Nik said. Chambre de chasse is performed by witches to put astral figures into a world which is inescapable unless we find something that bring us back, this time we all are in the compound. I looked to my siblings saying, „That means I just dropped on floor in front of the twins." when Rebekah told us, „I was in Corsica, drowning my sorrows about Hayley, and I suddenly dropped. What I wouldn't give to spend just a decade without being dragged into a godforsaken Chambre de Chasse."

„Suppose you were in a board meeting." Niklaus said looking down at her outfit when Kol came back and asked, „I was waiting for my wife to come home from work. Once again, ripped from complete contentment for... this. Suppose I'll ask the obvious: piss off any witches lately?"

„Actually, my current enemies are a group of hatemongers who see myself and my daughter as abominations to the vampire race." Niklaus told Rebekah and Kol when Rebekah said, „The bigoted undead. That's new. They must have a witch-for-hire."

„A witch that's spent enough time here to replicate every detail. This is Elijah's prized Cheval Blanc." Kol said while holding a wine bottle when we suddenly heard footsteps approaching us. We looked up seeing Freya walking down the stairs saying, „The culprit may be closer to home. A witch who knows the compound well and who doesn't trust you to stay away from Elijah. Someone who would risk everything to save New Orleans from plagues."

„Vincent." Niklaus said when Freya joined us around the table and said, „On the bright side, he'd never harm Hope. You, on the other hand, I expect he'll be shipping your bodies to the four corners of the world."

„All of our bodies? He isn't here, is he?" Rebekah asked for Elijah when he pop put and said, „He is. I think I might have just found a way out of here." We all looked at him when he then pointed on something. We followed him towards a door with locks on it with our first name initials when Elijah asked, „This wasn't here before. What is it?"

„It's representational magic. I expect there are keys, one for each of us, hidden somewhere meaningful. Somewhere connected to who we are." Kol explained to us when Elijah asked, „And for those of us who don't remember who we are?" when Niklaus snapped at him saying, „I'll give Antoinette your regards."

„Door won't open unless all six locks are released. The only way out is together." Freya told us when I said, „I think I know where my key is." when Kol turned to us and looked to Elijah saying, „Elijah, if we're to get through this without bloodshed, I recommend that you go to the corner of the house furthest from Nik. Come on. Follow me."

„Split up. We need to turn this place upside down. I only just promised my grieving daughter I wouldn't abandon her again. I can't be stuck here." Niklaus said and left us girls alone.

„I will start in my bedroom." I told my sisters when Freya nodded and said, „That's a good start." Rebekah nodded and went up the stairs into our bedroom. I entered my bedroom and went towards my bed, because underneath my bed are all my journals from over 1000 years. I opened each one and shake it hoping a key will fall out of it. I shook about 200 journals but there where no key to find when I shook journal 218 a key fell on the floor from the page I wrote about the day I found out about Tyler's death. I quickly took it and went down the stairs to the courtyard seeing Marcel talking to Nik, Freya and Rebekah when Marcel said, „It was Hope. Hope is responsible for all of this. Ivy was telling Vincent and me all about the latest prophecy when a hurricane showed up off the coast out of nowhere."
