'A DARK NIGHT'
"The king is dead!" A voice whispered as Ellie walked through the halls, Pantara by her side. The king was murdered, but not by a person, yet a boar instead.
"If Robert is dead, that makes Joffrey-" was all Ellie could think about.
"The king." Ellie shuddered at her own words escaping her lips. Joffrey as king will be an absolute nightmare. Ellie continued walking to the throne room, where her family stood amongst themselves emerging in conversation. Joffrey sat atop the iron throne and Cersei, seated beside him. Ellie made her way to the front, where she stood by her family. Pantara stayed near the back, where she belonged. In came Ned Stark, with men parading behind him. Pulling out a letter, he handed it to one of Joffrey's men and they noted the kings seal on it, unbroken. Reading aloud the following:
"Lord Eddard Stark is here named protector of the realm, to rule as regent until the rightful heir become of age."
"May I see that letter?" Cersei commanded. Her asking was never a question, but always an answer within itself, for no one were to dare disobey Cersei's orders. The knight handed the letter up to her and she took it within her claws. "Protector of the realm?" She laughed, mocking him, while then ripping it with all of her might. Ellie looked at her, appalled.
"Those were the kings words?" The knight was taken back, looking more confused than ever.
"We have a new king now." She smiled that wicked smile that Ellie could hardly stand. "Lord Eddard, when we last spoke, you offered me some council. Allow me to return the courtesy. Bend the knee, My Lord and swear loyalty to my son and we shall let you live out your days in the grey waste you call home." She demanded of him. Ellie continued to frantically look back and forth between her and him. Knowing what would come of this, would be no good for anyone.
"Your son has no claim to the throne." Ned spoke, proud. Ellie knew he was right. We all knew it, but nobody dare say it.
"Liar!" Joffrey shouted like an upset toddler throwing a tantrum.
"Cease this traitor!" Cersei commanded once more. Ellie's heart began to sink into the pit of her stomach. Joffrey craved war, and war was what would be coming in the days ahead. And ruining this union in which Ned and Robert had formed, will damage all upcoming history.
"Kill him! Kill all of them, I command it!" Joffrey continued on with his behavior. Ellie rolled her eyes, but worried, she was. For now, there was no turning back.
"Commander, take the queen and her children into custody." Ned demanded. Now, Joffrey's men and Ned's men faced off between each other. No one was stopping and before Ellie's eyes, men were being brutally slain. Blood spewed everywhere from all around. And on Ellie's way out of the throne room with Pantara by her side, she noticed Little Finger held Ned by knife.
"They are trying lord Eddard for treason." Pantara muttered in Ellie's ear. This all sounded absurd, but if that is how it is seen, it must have been true, and he will have no remorse in his tiny little body for Ned Stark nor his family. This could- no, this will, create a war with the North.
Pantara held firmly onto Ellie's hand, as they ran through the hall, away from the madness, for they didn't know who would come for them. Someone stepped in front of the two and Pantara let out a scream, only for them to realize it was Caspian and Ale. "It's okay. It's just us." Caspian informed, each men grabbing them and rushing up the stairwell and down yet another long hall, to find Ellie's room. The four piled in there, barricading the door. "We should be safe in here." Caspian said to them all.
"I doubt they'd come for me anyways, since I'm not the one their after." Ellie insisted.
"In times of war, you never know what could be done. And the Stark men could find you and use you for whatever they need." Ale insisted. "We'll stay here for the day, I'll keep a watch."
