'REVELATIONS'

The wind was cold and the sky was dark, surrounding the two posts Ellie and Jaime were confined to. But the air was thicker with heavy remorse, as news spread quickly of Ned Stark's beheading at the hands of Joffrey. Ellie felt a hostile anger toward her own family now, as they have let this happen. "You alright, El?" Jaime asked, opposite of the way from her, as the Northern men shouted 'king in the North' from behind them.

"Just swell, dear brother." She scoffed, tired and irritable.

"Well, I'm not sure why you're upset with me. I didn't behead the man." He told her, with a smirk.

"No, but our family did." She scoffed, disappointed within herself. The footsteps from afar caused them to jump a little as they looked to see Catelyn approaching.

"You look lovely tonight, Lady Stark." Jaime began his taunts. "Widowhood becomes you." Catelyn stared at him, eyes piercing into his tainted soul. "Your bed must be lonely tonight, is that why you came?" He proceeded.

"Jaime, shut up!" Ellie snapped, now furious at the insensitive comments.

"I'm not at my best, but I think I could be of service." He continued, ignoring his sister's judgement. "Slip out of that gown and—" but before Jaime could finish his statement, Catelyn reached forward, punching him square across the face. "Oh, I do like a violent woman." Jaime continued on, breathlessly.

"You're disgusting." Ellie finally said, as Catelyn glanced over toward her, curious as to why she wasn't being as vile as him.

"I will kill you tonight, ser, put your head in a box and send it to your sister!" She spat, furiously. "My son, Bran," she began, as they both looked to her, Ellie growing confused. "How did he come to fall from that tower?" She wanted answers.

"I pushed him out the window." Jaime said, quickly.

"You did what?" Ellie sat herself up a little, from the post she was tied to, across from him.

"Why?" Catelyn asked, sadly, but now having her long awaited answer.

"I hoped the fall would kill him." Jaime told her, honestly.

"Jaime—?" Ellie grew more upset, feeling more shame bestowed upon her for being apart of this cruel family.

"You should get some sleep. It's going to be a long war." Jaime told her, not fully explaining why he wanted Bran dead. She began to turn from him, to exit the field, when Ellie sat up a little more.

"Lady Stark," Ellie began, as Catelyn looked to her, with anger still heavy in her eyes. "I, uh, I'm sorry. About your loss, and for what my family has done." She continued, knowing her heart was kinder than the others. Jaime stared at her, raising an eyebrow, but also knowing she truly was the best of them all, and if there were anyway of them getting back home alive, it would be because of her. Catelyn opened her mouth, preparing to thank her, but then stopped, knowing she was a Lannister and this could be some sick twisted game the two were playing. So instead, Catelyn turned, and walked back to the camp.
