'Your worst enemy could be your best friend and your best friend, your worst enemy.' - Bob Marley

It's close to sunset and soon Princess Adeline, her father, the King and Luther are set to arrive.
After Luther had left my mind more scrambled than what it already was, I had decided to stay in the lounge and process everything rather than go back to mine and Aldérics room. I figured he understood why I didn't go back because he hadn't come in looking for me, which was a relief. Besides, he was probably busy getting ready to meet with his fiancée, no doubt they had a lot to talk about.
I allow a sigh to pass my lips as I sit up in the sofa that I had slept on, stretching my arms out. I had gotten close to no sleep last night and I was absolutely exhausted, plus I was hungry after skipping lunch and dinner.
I suppose I best leave the safety of this room, get something to eat while I can and pray I don't see Aldéric on the way.
I can't stand another interaction similar to yesterday's one.
I step out into the hallway, my nerves on edge as I glance around, hoping not to see Aldéric anywhere. The last thing I need is to have to explain my reasonings for not going back to the room last night, it should be obvious.
I turn a corner, continuing to look behind me, turning my head back round just as I bump into someone, staggering back. And as if my bad luck couldn't get worse, my ass hits the floor with a painful thud. "Ouch." I whimper.
I glance up, seeing a beautiful woman glaring down at me with honey, brown eyes slowly shifting to a darker shade, veins erupting out.
She's a vampire.
Shit, I bumped into a vampire.
Just fucking fantastic!
Her ebony hair is styled atop her head, her body is adorned in a gorgeous black dress that touches down onto the floor. She has her hands on her hips as she continues to glare with those vampiric eyes.
I rise to my feet, averting my gaze from hers, "I'm so sorry ma'am, I wasn't looking where I was going." I apologize, hoping she'll let me pass without any form of punishment. I don't know this woman but from how she's reacting to my clumsiness, a bad feeling is working it's way to the pit of my stomach.
Her glare doesn't waver though, her eyes trailing down, narrowing slightly on the collar around my neck.
Her attention is soon drawn away when two other woman come up behind her. One with blonde hair styled into curls reaching her mid waist with brown eyes, dressed in a short creamy dress. The other woman has short, red hair reaching just below her earlobes and dark, blue eyes, wearing a blue midi dress.
They both glance at me in confusion, the blonde woman asking the one glaring at me, "Adeline, what's the problem?"
Adeline?!
shit, shit, shit...
Adeline catches the hint of terror that wracks my body before I take control, pushing it down so that I can remain calm. I'm sure I'm failing terribly, I've never been good at hiding my emotions but it doesn't mean I don't try.
