'The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.' - Albert Camus

My eyes flutter open, a yawn passing my lips realising I had overslept, sunset only an hour away. I turn in the sheets, finding Aldéric fast asleep. He had taken me back to his room last night, not giving me much of a choice as I had fallen asleep not long after our little session.
I stare at his sleeping face, his hair disheveled, a bit of hair falling over his left eye. I smile at how peaceful he looks, like there isn't anything in this world that could disturb that peace.
I wish I could feel as peaceful as him right now but my reality is the complete opposite to being peaceful. It's unpredictable and chaotic.
I escape Aldéric's embrace, gentle so I don't wake him up and then pull the sheets away from my body, finding that I'm wearing the same dress from last night, minus the underwear.
I tiptoe towards the draws, grabbing some black nickers before sliding them on. I quickly brush my hair, sliding on a pair of shoes and then exit the room, knowing exactly where I'm headed.
My nerves are on edge, paranoia seeping in, knowing exactly what's at stake if I was to get caught. The estate is still asleep, not even the slaves are set to wake until sunset when breakfast is set to be cooked and prepared so that everyone can get along with their chores. The closer I get to my destination the more I want to back out, afraid for my life.
I push the negative and cowardly thoughts down, needing to keep a calm and level head if I'm going to pull this off.
Just breath...
Approaching my destination, I glance around, keeping an eye out for any sort of security or passerby. Coming to the conclusion that it's completely clear, I walk closer to the double doors, trying to seem as normal as possible just in case anyone does happen to see me. I check the handle, sighing in relief when the door is unlocked.
Why is it unlocked?
You'd think it would be more guarded but perhaps they seem it unnecessary to do so, given the fact their slaves are very submissive and wouldn't dare attempt this. Unlucky for them, I would.
Whether that makes me stupid or not, we'll find out.
Stepping into the office, it's completely empty, the silence deafening as my anxiety spikes. I quickly check the clock in the centre of the left wall, exhaling sharply when I realise I have less than ten minutes till sunset. I edge towards the giant desk, checking all the draws to find basic paperwork, stationary and your usual office supplies.
Where would someone keep keys to a prison cell?
I bite my lip, thinking intensely, scanning over his desk. It's completely immaculate, not one thing out of place, I carefully check over everything careful to keep it as immaculate as it was before realising they aren't here. Of course he wouldn't keep keys out in the open on his desk.
Aurélien is smarter than that.
I scan the room next, my eyes briefly flickering over the clock, taking note that I have less than five minutes. Shit...where the hell are they?
