"I'm telling you girl. Ain't shit happen at the club, you're trippin." Layla explains to her friend over the phone.

"Bitch, I'm not stupid. You was giving that nigga straight Nala eyes and he might as well had been Simba. I saw the whole thing!"  Amani says.

"Listen, I'm not finna argue witchu. I gotta finish getting ready." Layla says pushing the red button. Layla rolled her eyes and bit her lip at the thought of Dave last night. The way he grabbed and touched her made her feel completely different. It made her feel...submissive? Layla laughed at her ridiculous thought before continuing to apply her lip gloss.

Layla would say she was in her feelings about not getting his number but it wasn't like she couldn't find another nigga who would be less of a struggle in the bedroom. Of course she couldn't deny the fact that she was turned all the way on by his dominance despite her being a top herself. She never really came across a man who wasn't completely in a trance by her alpha female behavior.

As she thinks about all this she has already hopped into the car her father sends her to get to work. This was especially handy because of her slight hangover but the way Layla carries herself when it comes to business, you'd never know she had one.

She had finally pulled up to the address her father had given her. She looks back at the car and thanks the driver.

"Thank you, Corey. I'll be done in an hour tops. Be back in 45 minutes." She says. Corey nods his head and rides off. Layla dusts herself off and fixed her clothes. She was wearing a black and white patterned suit with a simple t-shirt with heels and glasses for flair.

"Alright, lets get this shit started." She says before walking right in.

I leaned back into my chair. I was about to get into this meeting over some minor shit. My phone kept blowing up cause once again Courtney was on ha shit. I had decided not to come home last night because I knew she was gone have some shit to say. And based on the way I was feeling I knew if she even rolled her neck I was gone pimp slap her across the room even though I have strong feelings against putting my hands on women, at least in that way.

Before I know it 2 knocks come to ma door.

"Come in."

"The representative for LU is here. Should I send them in?" My secretary says coming in.

"Yeah, you can bring him in, sweetheart." I say. She nods and smiles. I look down at my phone reading all of Courtney's threats and messages.

I hear the door open and the person come in and take a seat.

"I'm sorry, man. I'm boutta silence this shit right now. Lady problems, I'm sure you know what I'm sayin."

"Yeah... I think I might have an idea." A female voice responds. I quickly look up shocked. I was not expecting it to be a female let alone, ole girl from the club last night!

"Layla?!"

"That's Ms. Love to you. It's good to see you Mr...?"

"Dave is just fine, beautiful."

"East, is it?" She says glancing at the nameplate on ma desk. I was slightly appalled by the way she acted as if nothing happened last night. A part of me felt like she forgot.

"Yeah, I guess since you wanna be formal an shit."

"Mr.Dave, I had been informed by numerous sources that my guys and yours may have gotten into a dispute earlier this week. I'd like to have it in writing that this incident is understood to be a simple mishap and there are no hard feelings." She said super professional-like. No lie it was turning me all the way on. The way shawty looked at me with no fear in her heart. I was staring her down and she knew it but the whole time she kept her composure. I was struggling to keep mine.

"Mr. East?" She said like music to ma ears. She slides the paperwork she needs me to sign over to me. I looked up at Layla who was just looking down at her watch. I think I'm gonna play with her just a lil bit before giving her what she wants.

"So what happens when I sign this?"

"Simply put. You don't bother me, I don't bother you. We put this all behind us."

"Including last night?"

"Yes."

"Well what if I don't want that behind us?"

"We can negotiate that." She says nodding her head. I bite my lip and lean forward.

"What if I wanna put myself behind you?"

"That'd be highly unprofessional. And if you'd try some shit like that I'd probably have to shoot you."

"What if I wanted to bend you over right on this desk and have you screaming Dave? Or do you prefer Mr. East?"

"Listen to me, Dave. I don't fucking appreciate your lack of professionalism. I don't tend to mix business with pleasure and now that I'm sitting in front of you right now, whatever happened last night is ancient history. Do you understand me?" She says standing up and pointing her finger in my face. I just chuckle.

"So you do remember?" I get up and walk over to her side of the desk. "If you don't mind I'd like to finish what we started." I come from behind her and start to kiss on ha neck, she remains stiff.

"Mr. East. My sole purpose of being here is to get these papers signed and bounce. She says turning towards me.

"Fine, I'll sign the papers." She keeps her eyes glued to mine as I lean forward and grab the papers from behind her.

"You need a pen?" She asks.

"Not right now. Nope."

"How are you gonna sign the papers then?"

"I'm not. At least not today." She watches as I go to sit back in my seat. "I need a few things from you specifically before I sign shit."

"I hope you're not trying to blackmail me because that means I'll have no choice but to-"

"Blackmail is such an ugly word...Ms. Love. I simply wanna take you to dinner, get to know you outside of business. All I need first is your phone number." I throw my phone over to her.

"Courtney seems pretty pissed about last night."

"Does that bother you?"

"Not how you'd think it does." She says typing in her number and once she's finished she tosses it back. "I feel bad for her. I feel bad for you too. But it's this thing called a cold shower that fixes this type of thing right up for ya."

"Pleasure doing business with ya, baby girl." I say watching her walk out. She flips me off and slams the door.
