Sky POV

My head was fucking pounding from last night so I decided to take some aspirin then went to the bathroom to get ready for school.

"Good morning Shawn," I said entering the kitchen to find Shawn eating a bowl of cereal. I looked around and mom wasn't there. "Where's mom?"

"Good morning Sky," he said. "Your mom is back in our room because she's not feeling well. She's been throwing up a storm."

Poor mom. I wonder what's wrong with her.

"Good morning everyone," Sam said entering the kitchen. "Where the hell is breakfast?" She asked while looking around.

I sucked my teeth. "Just eat cereal and shut up," I said taking out my bowl. "Mom is not feeling well today."

Her face softened. "Poor mom. I wonder what's wrong with her," she said making herself a bowl of cereal.

Dave came downstairs with mom. "Good morning," she said lowly.

Damn. Shawn was right about mom not feeling well. She looks so pale and dehydrated and shit. She looked a mess.

"How are you feeling babe?" Shawn said rubbing her back as she sat next to him.

"I'm still not feeling well. I think I ain't going to work today," she said lowly.

I hate seeing her like this. I hope she gets well soon.

"Skylar, can you please follow me to my office," Mr Sandler, the vice principal said to me as I walked passed him in the hallway.

I followed him to his office. When I got inside there was this girl I've never seen before sitting on one of the two chairs in front of his desk.

"Have a seat," he said going to the other side. "Skylar, I have an assignment for you," he said.

I looked to my side and this girl had her head hanging down while busy fidgeting with her fingers.

"This is Isabella and she just got enrolled here. I'd love it if you show her around since she's in your grade," he said.

"I'll be happy to show her around," I said.

He smiled. "Good. You're dismissed," he said then he looked at her. "I hope you'll enjoy your stay in our fine established Isabella."

"Thank you sir," she said flashing him a weak smile.

He handed her the schedule and we were off.

"Tell me more about yourself Isabella," I said as we walked down the school hallway.

"Well, my parents and I just moved here a few weeks ago. I enjoy debate and chess. I play the flute and piano," she said shyly.

She sounds like a female version of Danny and that's pretty cool.

"That's neat," said smiling. "How old are you?" I said as we climbed up the stairs.

"I'm sixteen. My parents made me go to kindergarten at a later age."

I showed her around. I showed her all the rooms and I tried showing her every nook and cranny of the school.

"Since you know a little bit about me, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself," she said smiling.

I slightly chuckled. "I see you are getting a bit confident. Keep that confidence up," I said. "Well, I've lived here my entire life. My parents are divorced and I live with my mom, her husband, my brother and twin sister."
