"I am happy we are trying this out" says Diana while holding her secret suiters hand.
It's been another long day at school, Diana was so happy that it was finally over since this meant that she would walk home with Jerry.
"Me too, and I have a surprise for you" says Jerry, Diana looked curious and exited.
"Which is?" She asked with a big smile on her face
"You will see, tonight, at the hideout" he says, his thick accent was so charming to her and she loved it.
Diana nodded happily. It's been only 1 week since they decided to give it a shot, and Diana was savoring every moment of it.
"Okay" she says while leaning in for a kiss while Jerry did the same. This became almost their routine, he walked her home and they would share a kiss when they had to part ways.
The only problem was that it was never only a kiss... for some reason, it always turned out to be a make out session.
Jerry placed his hands on the girls back, trying to bring her even closer if it was possible. Diana loved tangling her hands through his hair and she loved how he would kiss down to her collarbone when they had time.
But they didn't have much time right now so they had to part ways.
"I really don't want to go home... the only thing my parents will talk about is to find me a suitor" Diana says exhaling deeply while looking at the dead leaves under her feet. She felt a hand in her chin and she looked up, just to be faced with the most beautiful brown eyes.
"Je t'aime" he whispered softly in her ear. That made her melt instantly.
Nobody really knows but Jerry had a dominant side, so he loved to see how Diana reacted und her touch.
"I love you too" she whispered back placing several last kisses on his lips until she really had to go.
As soon as Diana opened the door to her house, she could feel the heat radiating from the fire place. Her parents were both sat on the couch, listening to Minnie May playing the Violin. It didn't took them long to notice that their oldest daughter walked in the room.
"Honey here you are" says Eliza giving her daughter a small smile.
"Hello mother" she replied politely, and taking a seat on the soft chair placed in front of the piano.
"Dear before you play" her father interrupted.
"I would like to talk about suiters" he continued. Diana couldn't help but to just roll her eyes. She thanked the lord that she was facing the other way since she knew that this action was highly improper.
She turned around facing them and giving a fake smile.
"I am actually pretty tired father, would it be possible to discuss it another time?" She asked keeping her fake smile, but her sister saw right through it.
"You always say that. You just don't want a husband" says Minnie May. Now, to the young child that might of been just a simple statement, but she didn't realize how important finding a husband for Diana was for her parents.
"Oh, Minnie May, don't say such things!" Eliza screamed at the young child who was about to burst into tears.
"Yes dear, maybe another day. You are excused" says her Father excusing Diana.
"Minnie May, would you like to come to my quarter for a while?" Diana asked kindly, feeling a little bit bad about how her mother yelled at Minnie May.
Minnie May smiled brightly and nodded following her sister.
As soon as they opened the door, Diana decided to tell Minnie May the real reason why she didn't want her parents to find her a suitor.
"Minnie May" she called and her sister just looked at her.
"Can I tell you a secret, that you will never have to tell Mother and Father without my consent?" It seems like a stupid move to tell a little girl who never shuts up one of your deepest secrets. But Minnie May was pretty good at that.
Minnie May was suddenly intrigued my this and shifted her whole body so she could face her older sister. Diana sat on her bedroom floor and motioned for Minnie May to sit on her lap which she did. Diana hugged her from behind and placed her head on her shoulder, contemplating if this was a good idea.
"Well, you know what love is?" Diana started. Minnie May just nodded turning her head slightly to face her sister.
"Yes, I love mother, father, and my toys" she says enthusiastically. Diana just chuckled and turned Minnie May around to that she was now fully facing her while she still sat on her lap.
"And do you think, mother and father love each other?" She asked her once more and she just nodded.
"What if I told you that the reason why I don't want to find a suitor is because I fell in love?" She then asked. Minnie May's eyes widened at her sister's statement.
"With who?" Minnie May asked shyly.
"It's a secret" Diana says with a big smile. Minnie May than made a disgusted face in anticipation of what she was going to ask next.
"Did you kiss him?" She asked. Diana laughed lightly and nodded.
"Ewwwee" was the only thing that Minnie May said.
Diana just looked at her sister and laughed even more. Than an Idea popped into the girls head.
"Would you like to meet him?"
